@MilkyAlien Resident Evil 1 for the gameboy color was looking amazing, and a head of its time. They canceled this, used this engine and recreated it. They called It Gaiden. But by the time Gaiden was released not only was gameboy color system dead, but so was gameboy advanced. They created a game that was 2 generations old. With its low budget 1 track repetitive music and now sound effects, that makes Resident Evil Gaiden a game to bitch about. You want to btich, you bitch about Gaiden.

so many people say that resident evil is failing right now but thats not true, even though RE 4 and 5 were more action then horror they were still good additions to the series, i agree that having zombies is alot better than the ganados and majini but that doesnt entirely take away what resident evil is. one big thing the RE series has is the BOWs which is what ganados and majini basically are. hopefully RE6 will somehow bring the zombies, camera angles and even the loading times through doors.
Game looks worse than cod ... and cod is shit.... So many let down games being released just because they can and morons will take any little thing with low standards we will never get a actual good game that way... I know several game Ideas that would be a hit but I dont have the resources to create them if they big devs werent paid for these crappy things they would put more effort into making something great. @madar38 I believe you can only carry two at once, your handgun is default that won't swap out, but your main gun the assault rifle, sniper rifle, shotguns, can be switched out.
Dead Island or RE Operation raccoon city? Action looks a lot faster in RE. More gun paced which is also nicer. But is there gonna be a story in this game or what. Cos if all you do is run around on a square map shooting at endless zombies than this is a failure.

But so far all they have shown are shooting at endless zombies. @blades34AK Actually, the reason people have doubts right now is because capcom is pulling a "Lucasarts". because capcom is changing/ spinning the RE2 storyline to make this game fit in, like lucasarts did with Vaders "apprentice" (which not only killed the whole franchise but was a shitty game by itself).
I hope capcom can pull it off because RE1, 2 and 3 were the best of the series anyway and this game looks to be only a slight twist but they shouldnt be messing with establishment.

Information just in regarding the release date of Resident Evil Operation Raccon City. 2 retailers in the U.K. have pinned a date Friday 6th January 2012. Those retailers are amazon.co.uk and HMV.
I've always hoped they would do an alternate reality sort of story where Wesker takes Chris and Sheva out and you play as him. Sort of another take at the story like they are doing with Dead Rising 2. I would love a remake of the old games too but this seems like it'd be a fun game to fuck around on.

B. If you do not own a 3ds you pretty much get a big "FUCK YOU" from Capcom because resident evil revelations that IS single-player focused, and seems to be VERY awesome.
So in this video I can see that the aiming reticle is a circle with a dot, but in other videos the reticle looks like a traditional cross-hair? Did the developers change this or is it customizable?

@MrEarl2006 I totally agree with you, but in this game your playing as Officers of Umbrella Security Service(bad guys) and they are to go in and get rid of evidence linking Umbrella to the incident. While in the others we play as people caught in the middle of the meyhem trying to survive. I think they changed it in this one because we`re playing as the bad guys. That`s my explanations.

They are going back to traditional T-Virus zombies and mutations so that's great for the people who whined about the Las Plagas and Uroboros. This is only a spin off to the series. Resident evil 6 is in production but will not be announced until after the release of operation racoon city. Resident Evil 6 is supposedly going back toward the older style survival horror as most people were dissappointed with Resident Evil 5. Resident Evil 4 was epic tho IMO

I've always hoped they would do an alternate reality sort of story where Wesker takes Chris and Sheva out and you play as him. Sort of another take at the story like they are doing with Dead Rising 2. I would love a remake of the old games too but this seems like it'd be a fun game to fuck around on.

@brandike69 A. This game is OBVIOUSLY very different from left for dead. Only the concept of 4 people fighting zombies is similar, so when you say "we" don't need another please speak for yourself.
B. If you do not own a 3ds you pretty much get a big "FUCK YOU" from Capcom because resident evil revelations that IS single-player focused, and seems to be VERY awesome.

@MrEarl2006 I totally agree with you, but in this game your playing as Officers of Umbrella Security Service(bad guys) and they are to go in and get rid of evidence linking Umbrella to the incident. While in the others we play as people caught in the middle of the meyhem trying to survive. I think they changed it in this one because we`re playing as the bad guys. That`s my explanations.

finally they made it in racoon city and the zombies are normal this game looks awesome i cant wait for it, i liked resident evil 5 but the whole not being able to shoot and walk was annyoing and made it feel like a arcade game (witch i know Capcom is based on arcade game) but im glade they went in this direction its gonna be a great game. one thing i wasnt happy about was fighting the US Spec Ops and i wish you played as them instead but seeing the USS gameplay they look just as cool. cant wait

This is only a spin off to the series. Resident evil 6 is in production but will not be announced until after the release of operation racoon city. Resident Evil 6 is supposedly going back toward the older style survival horror as most people were dissappointed with Resident Evil 5. Resident Evil 4 was epic tho IMO
