Couldn't agree more. Most people think that heaven is an empty void like Nirvana, or we sit on clouds playing harps. If people desire that type of heaven, that's fine. But they assume that heaven is "non-physical", so it's airy or nebulous. In my opinion (no one has to agree with it), I don't like that type of heaven. I imagine a Muslim-like heaven, or an Eden-like heaven. I also imagine there are cities like Miami or Los Angeles in there.

Wow now that you do mention it, the connection between the song's meaning and the 1st movie (because it doesn't really fit the 2nd movie in my opinion. Am I alone here?) is really similiar and this could've easily fit the soundtrack to this movie.

I'll agree that it isn't your best WMM-made amv but all the same, it's still good because some parts (as you said) are sexy. This amv brings back memories of the movies.

*nods* I agree. Well, it fits kinda, but not as neatly. It's like "Final Destination" by Within Temptation and my NCB AMV. I only put ADGTH2 in those AMVs so I'll have a wider variety of clips to use.

I was actually thinking about re-making this one for a long time. However, I got wrapped up in other projects (DPP, the contests, AMV for Anime North). I really under-estimated the difficulty of this song. It's difficult to keep to the tempo/mood and still make it interesting. Vegas might help me.

The original was made in 1989 by Don Bluth, then afterwards someone adapted the story and created All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 in 1996, a tv series sometime after as well as a Christmas special movie. Still, ADGTH1 beats them all.

Depends on how you view it I guess. It worked in a similar way with Wolf's Rain in the Garden of Eternity, though it was more like amnesia where you would sometimes get memory flashes (though if you stayed at the garden long enough, you forget everything).

I'm afraid the idea behind this song is a little off, unfortunately. The concept of heaven as being boring is based on the concept of it as an audio-visual experience, or a beautiful place filled with music. In reality, it is more than that. It's the fulfillment of all we were meant to be. It is, simply put, being in the very presence of God.
