  • It was a crap movie, let's be real here. In so many ways than one. I have my issues with how the second Red Cliff ended, but you know what they didn't have? freaking World War 1 helmets. the actors for zhang fei and zhao yun aren't bad. but hu jun (red cliff) beats andy, unfortunately. in no small part due to the movie he was in in comparison.

  • @zoogies they made those a LONG time ago. it ever come to your mind that it was adopted by the british? btw they are pretty chep helmets so they're nothing special

  • @jason200912 All these movies are based on the style of Ming and Qing Chinese designs. They had leather caps during the Han dynasty.

  • theres two versions of this film? which one should i watch?

  • Love this scene! It was an alright movie, but Red Cliff parts 1&2 totally blew this one out of the water. Shu has some of the greatest generals, with one(Guan Yu) even becoming a God of war! Although my fave is Zhang Fei hehe

  • @Otakku432 guan yu's always been my favorite hella dope, i bet he'd whoop zhang fei

  • ya think? I know Guan Yu is amazing and all, but Zhang Fei did hold his own againts Lu Bu by himself. I bet Guan Yu wouldve held out too i guess. Either way they're both kick ass

  • @woodlandmac yea, due to zhang fei's lack of discipline and patience. he would've lost to guan yu. but he's still badass though.

  • i feel that Guan Yu is more of an adult in this scene XD

  • @woodlandmac zhao yun ftw dude, wat u both talkin bout?

  • Why are they fighting? aren't they on the same side? the Shu Han? with Liu Bei?

Or is this just some artistic license....?

  • they were fighting cuz the chubby guy lost liu beis wives and son and zhang fei was gonna kill him but zhao protected him, and guan was just tryin to stop it, and then it carried on

  • Which means it is artistic license. No such thing in the ROTK. The real story: The two wives of Liu Bei and his son (who is still an infant) are trying to survive. then one wife is killed. Zhao tries to save the remaining one but commits suicide believing that her wounded body would be nothing but extra weight. So Zhao only saves Liu Bei's baby son and makes his way back to Liu Bei.

  • Zhang Fei is only involved when he suspects Zhao of treachery when he see Zhao going into Cao Cao's base, which in actuality, Zhao was going there to rescue Liu Bei family. When Zhao returns he shows Zhang Fei Liu bei's son proving his innocence. So to buy Zhao some time for him to return to Liu Bei, Zhang Fei famously holds off the Wei troops at the Chang ban bridge.

  • rotk, is a fake recount of the actual story, that is why it is romance of the three kingdoms, it is built from the real story but over-exaggerated catch the battle of red cliff if u havent already seen it

  • ah, oh yes. I know ROTK is an exaggereated story. A novel. Which means it is fiction.

But wasn't this movie based on the novel ROTK?

Not the actual historical events that took place?

If it is it would have been nice if the film stayed faithful to the novel.

  • i have no idea, im pretty sure it stuck with the actual history cuz of him being called zhao zilong and not zhao yun, but idk

  • The filmmakers just wanted to add another action scene.
