Don't need to belong to Mensa to figure this one out. Blowby is present. Someone must have inserted a shim that was too thick and you slightly burned a valve. Rarely does someone do a compression check to verify their findings. Do these engines have such high tolerances in oil passages that they are not reliable? Perhaps not.
