{Based upon the Granny/Applebloom episode she might be able to save it, but you can bet Applejack won't listen to her thanks to her reactions to the brothers in this one. I would like to see a 'future ep' where TWO apple farms exist, one broken down and one successful)

I was referring facetiously with that last comment to AJ playing herself up at being an ignorant stereotype, not actual politics. It's all very turn-of-the-century anti-industrialism, which is hilarious considering how Hasbro makes their toys. At any rate the biggest issue with the farm seems to be spoilage and infestation. They should have someponies running around doing nothing but spraying the apples with water (since they'd never get away with pesticides in a kid's show.)

Now that you mention it there were an awful lot of bad apples.

I didn't care for the whole, hard work beats industrialization, because it doesn't. Especially in farming! That's why they have tractors and whatnot instead of picking stuff by hand.

This was just a bad lesson all around, but Flim and Flam made the episode worth watching.

Still, regardless of being a pro-AJ-to-idiocy ep, it's still one of the better episodes just for Flim and Flam. Only thing I think they were missing was Flim or Flam saying "Play me off Flam/Flim!" with the other one vaudeville dancing as they carted their squeezy away.

Also they missed a better moral for this episode.Notice how many BAD apples both got? There WOULD be enough for all if they had more hooves to take care of their orchard! Clearly only granny smith takes care of the actual apples.

I think the episode was just an excuse to make an applejack episode where she feels 'right'

If you look up the history of the show it's stated Hasbro lurvs them some applejack going all the way back to G1 "This new series must include and applejack, etc etc" so yeah, the episode kind of sucked because she had to be 'right' by the end. Shame they made her state it in probably the most selfish worst way possible. "AH DIINT LERN AAAHNYTHANG" I bet you vote republican AJ, don't you. Damn hayseed.

Whoah, I was sort of with you until the end. I vote Republican and live in South Carolina (it don't get much more Southern than us). Country folk may be a lot of things, but implying that just because she was selfish that makes her a stereotypical southern doesn't compute. Ever heard of southern hospitality?

You guys do realize that when we were only 15 episodes into season 1 (the same number as we are here), the only Fluttershy episode was "Dragonshy," right? It wasn't until later that we got "Stare Master," "Green Isn't Your Color," and "A Bird in the Hoof." I'm betting something similar will happen with Season 2, and we'll get a bunch of Fluttershy at the end.

Goggles=Coolness. Song was good. The Apples don't save cider for someone because then the pony would expect special treatment in the future, or other ponies would expect special treatment if it got out. I guess Cent means Bit. Didn't really feel like an Applejack episode. I thought the letter was hilarious. Fluttershy must be too perfect of a pony to get an episode. Overall, it was a fine episode, but it felt lacking. 7/10.
