yes. drink lots of liquids, use your air more than throat. exhale screams are safer than inhale screams. also, if you're going to scream for long periods of time, like a concert, drink orange juice. the citrus builds up a lot of saliva. use that as well as air in exhaling. it's pretty safe. if your throat hurts after you do it for like 20 minutes, you're doing it wrong.
