well, nothing! music in the 80s was mostly great, depending on your taste. i preferred early to mid 80s, much of the late 80s pop was terrible but really no worse than today. much pop and alternative in the early to mid 80s was dominated by technology - i loved this and it was very popular and seen as a revolutionary statement against boring guitar rock. but many didn't like it and there was a backlash by underground alternative guitar groups from the mid

80s onwards.

michael is still composing, much for tv, claudia has a band "onetwo" (?) with omd's paul humphries, michael says they are working on new propaganda material ...

so, they obvoiusly were trying to attract someone's attention in the industry by performing in this crap tv show.

they talk about the song's inspiration, a hypnotic gangster-doctor from some classical german movies from the 1920s.

michael reports how good it was to record in london, so they were not just some german band but could succeed in other parts of europe as well.

claudia says it was strange becoming a star while she was just finsishing school! they even met prince charles.

Why not making a show and ask to play it live? It would be much more interesting then this. :/

Be grateful for RTL, Chukkz2. There has been NO MUSIC on USA TV since The Some Bizzare Show and New Wave Theater in the 80s. American Idol? Baaaaaarrrrffffff!!!!!!!!!

I remember the "old" times (god I feel really old saying that lol) when there were several shows that had bands performing, typically not live but heh... The thing is, this show runs in the evening at primetime and you have to listen to celebrities talking about music (which is bad enough...) just to see some folks posing to half or even fullplayback.

No thanks, I rather watch some old shows on here instead. :)

I often wonder if these bands feel silly when it's so obvious they are miming something they recorded over twenty years previous.
