hi I know a little bit about skiing. I know technique is the form you put into practice. form follows function. that means pretty isnt fast and although bodes form might look horrendous or wild to a spectator that could have more to do with the fact that they cant get their head around innovation matched with athleticism that steps beyond common thinking. believe me if they could have beat him when he was on top they would have but his technique was the best for the seasons/events.
Hi guys, in world cup its hard to say who has best technique. In my opinion and opinion of my coaches the best technique has benjamin raich, but you have others. The biggest legend of skiing is hermann maier. Bode miller is different he was good want to be wild, but he is arogant and his technique is not what he thinks that it is. Anyway I like this video too.
he does have good technique but good technique doesnt mean best ever. bode miller (best us skier ever) and alberto tomba have wild styles and in my mind are better than MVG. sorry for the criticism, but i hate when people say that the mark of a good skier is how he adheres to a good style.
a good skier has good style, a legendary skier creates style
no he couldnt. he had so much power from his last turn that it actually threw him. and his recovery from that is perfect. so unless you ski in the world cup, you shouldnt be talking
I decided to buy Fischer skies.

Bode's arms are all over the place. But he has amazing quickness in his hips and legs so he compensates for some poor tech at times.

you are totally right, he had a big re-bount and he corrected it perfectly
The main purpose while skiing SL/GS/SG/DH is not to avoid faults, but to correct them as quick as possible, that is what makes you a good skier
