El video is competacion, es coreografia, but you can also dance NY and LA styles socially, without any coreografia. I do agree with SALSERIOT01, Junior and Emily have always focus and spins and spins and more spins but we have to understand that competition is not won by those who make more spins in a routine, I hope they try to work something more creative and come out with better choreographies in the future.
In my opinion, I don't think so, at some point, the second place couple lost the essence of salsa and began to do extragant stuff. This couple stuck to the basic form, and did much better!
the man of the second place couple was not as exact dancing as Oliver. And the pasitos of Oliver and Luda got much more expression and complexity. In adition they showed a greater variety of moves not just turn-patterns with difficult hand-moves. 1st is appropriate.

Actually, its the technic what makes Oliver and Luda so great. He makes simple movements look fantastic because of that. Junior and Emily dedicated the whole routine to spin.

dancing competitions don't really count sexiness as part of the judging criteria. it's about timing, flow, musical interpretation and other technicalities, and these guys are the some of the very best in that. Social dancing is a whole other ballgame. just to prove my point, you should check out a video of oliver and luda social dancing, and you'll see she's a fantastic miami style dancer

In my opinion, I don't think so, at some point, the second place couple lost the essence of salsa and began to do extragant stuff. This couple stuck to the basic form, and did much better!

the man of the second place couple was not as exact dancing as Oliver. And the pasitos of Oliver and Luda got much more expression and complexity. In adition they showed a greater variety of moves not just turn-patterns with difficult hand-moves. 1st is appropriate.
And if you think that everybodie can do their steps - try the spinnings starting at 1:56.

Actually, its the technic what makes Oliver and Luda so great. He makes simple movements look fantastic because of that. Junior and Emily dedicated the whole routine to spin.

muchas muchas vueltas... creo q ganaron porque "bailaron" un poco mas... vamos! q esas vueltas las haces "entrenando", pero donde esta el sabor de la salsa?? parece q solo ganase el q hace mas vueltas por minuto... repiten muchas veces el mismo paso, aunq le agregan mas vueltas... bailaron varias veces, eso me gusto mas, pero la sensualidad de este baile lo dejan en la puerta del recinto...

dancing competitions don't really count sexiness as part of the judging criteria. it's about timing, flow, musical interpretation and other technicalities, and these guys are the some of the very best in that. Social dancing is a whole other ballgame. just to prove my point, you should check out a video of oliver and luda social dancing, and you'll see she's a fantastic miami style dancer
