@manutube8080 Actually no. The X1 is glossy black, while the A1 is silver. The UL30VT is switchable and the UL30AG is integrated. The extra letter/number after that is just for the color.

I'd go as far as calling this a macbook killer. Light weight, stylish, sleek, sturdy build, similar hardware - for a lower price. In fact you get this, plus an 80GB X25-M, for the price of a MacBook Pro. Plus that is more configurable, and if you want OSX, then I guess this would make a very fine hackintosh,

Thanks a lot for putting this up. Would like to buy it, but only if it's very quiet and if the fan doesn't run too often. Of course, for gaming it will switch on. But that's normal. However, during stuff like internet surfing and text processing it should be quiet. Can you say something about those issues? Does it have a button to put it into some silent mode, e.g. as on Samsung laptops?

i think you meant cd-drive,

if thats the case you have 3 options,

1. Buy external cd-drive and connect it via usb to ur netbook

2. If the cd files come in exe. form, just copy it onto a flash drive from another computer that has a cd-drive and then transfer it to your laptop and run it

3. if the cd is in the form of an iso. file, then you must download a program thats able to mount the iso file (basically making an imaginary cd-rom drive) and run it from there. Reccomendations: Daemon Tools

good build, good pros and whatnot, but for a netbook it shouldn't be larger then like 9-12 inches diagonal.

overall pretty good, just drop the price to how much the other netbooks cost. with this thing at 900 or so i might as well buy a macbook or toshiba.

and this should have a linux to windows partition built in cuz i hate using windows unless its for like Word or PowerPoint. Linux is safer for the net and its more convenient to use.

So if apple bring back the wooden computers, all of the sudden all the other manufacturers will start producing wooden computers as well.
