@XMajorasMaskX Say you've got a Asus laptop. Power4Gear (if you have a gaming notebook it is better understood) switches your laptop from High Performance gaming mode, to entertainment mode, which brightens up the screen. There are two other modes, battery saving and quiet office (on the G60VX) It basically switches the functions and abilities of your laptop. So instead of having on a gaming mode all the time, you can switch it up so your laptop doesn't get hot. Hope that helped.
I have an Asus...and when sumthing goes wrong with this baby...i will be getting another Asus.. Ur rite about the cooling system...this thing has never ever even got warm....well made.. very sturdy...ur rite about battery life tho... I cant even watch a movie on it without it cutting out...LOL... Had a Sony before..hardly can compare to an Asus.
Asus laptops are generally well-made. They are slightly more expensive than MSI or Acer laptops. They have better componentry than the aforementioned big name brands. They have better build quality than MSI or Acer. They are marketed to gamers, and so have better discreet graphics processors than your typical laptop. These GPUs are power-hogs, and so you will see sub-par battery-life in Asus notebooks, in return for a considerable boost in GPU intensive applications. Games, Graphics Design, etc.
acctually Asus notebooks are better then all the shitty companies named below. The only bad thing about Asus notebooks is battery length. (that's ironic, i'm on a Asus battery saving video)
@bedardenator my Asus laptop last for 4, 5 hours, amazing, its the first time it lasts so much. I have a 13.3'' with an intel I5. I can play skyrim for 2 hours, play movies for 3 hours and writing on word for 5 hours, amazing!
Asus is much better quality than HP or Dell. Asus computers usually have no bloatware(the junk software which is installed when you get a computer), are usually some of the best priced systems in their hardware range. They are some of the best built as well, with strong internal frames and good cooling systems. I don't like the altec lansing sound systems as much as the harmon kardon sound systems that toshiba has but besides that they are the best laptop speakers except for high end laptops.
OMG please reply and help me i jsut got my asus laptop and have power4gear extream, and it was allways running on high performance mod, and i changed it ocne to battery saver, and it changes my desktop and back ground,, please help
Yeah, Battery Saver mode changes your Desktop and Backround so it can conserve batterylife. To fix it, click the Windows icon button on your laptop, then click on the battery icon and change it toHigh PErformance.
Anyone, is it.possible to make the light bars on the G51vx blink using powerful gear extreme?

mine wasnt so good after all.
i couldnt close the notebook fine, it was hard to lock it. I found i had to apply a little pressure to lock it.
After a while the back of the case broke, so when i try to close the notebook i broke it even more. Also my dvd drive does not load cds anymore.
then the paint of the case is not good and the lan card makes the OS unstable (had to disable it). Same happened to most owners of this notebook.
However i still choose asus for desk mobos, they are the best!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
ASUS can't match with HP and Dell
ASUS can't even beat Acer and Sony
ASUS also can't touch IBM Lenovo
