  • Fat Adric!!!!!!!!!

  • its wierd to think im watching what my mother would have watched in black and white in poor quality in color in high quality (we come from bangladesh, where the TV sets were crap when she was little)

  • I just thought I should say that I'm never ever going to buy a Brother printer, OK?

  • Is it just me, or is Adric fatter in State of Decay then he was in Full Circle?

  • Please upload more episodes, they're brill!!

  • I have to ask why the BBC has made these episodes for 18s or over? I have a daughter who watched Planet of the Spiders when she was 13-14 (She's 15 now) and not been scared. There was no need for that kind of rescriction. 12 year olds and over maybe, but 18? It's just silly.

  • @HighGaliferian at least they've lifted the restrictions now. =)

  • All this bullshit about E space and CVEs! Wot the fuck did we know about that in 1981?? give us traditional Doctor battling simple enemies!

  • The BBC is a persistent and aggressive mouthpiece for the Left and aims to subvert British democracy. The sooner it is privatised the better.

  • "Don't you have an instruction manual?"

Errr, in my opinion don't let the Doc loose with a manual coz next thing you know he's throwing it in a supernova

  • @chelliebelly101 Isn't that what everyone does with their instruction manuals?

  • Have you noticed how in Dr Who and, actually, virtually every Sci Fi series, the entire culture and political structure of a planet seems to be centred in one, exclusive place? Think of the variety of political systems on Earth...why are these planets always so monolithic?

(BTW-at least in this episode we are given "Why here?"....

"Well, I put us down close to K9's energy concentration..."

  • @Stereolabdream Very true. And they only have one climate and ecosystem: they are "desert planets" or "ice planets" or "jungle planets". Hell, even Mars has seasons...

...perhaps they're very, very, very, very tiny?

  • Why does K9 compare the planet to earth, when both the Doctor and Romana are from Galifrey?

  • Oh Great, after 3 Commercials consecuively following each other everytime I skip back or forth, the sound goes out.

  • i thought the kids name was adrick

  • wow, those bats near the Doctor and Romana could fly without even moving their wings!

  • so our (uk) licence fees pay for the rest of the worlds viewing. bet they dont receive letters with open threats of their persecution, i mean prosecution, of non-payers?

  • @DANNY45190 The BBC licenses already made content and recoups some money which it then uses to make shiny new programs for the UK public to watch.

    Everybody wins...

    Besides which:

No-one is forced to pay the licence fee.

If you don't want a TV don't have one.

The BBC is a unique and precious thing. It's worth every penny in my opinion.

  • This one, the Edge of Destruction, the caves of androzani, the twin dilemma and full circle are the only ones on DVD but I'm glad this one is here for it gives me a chance to see it before I get it on DVD when ever that is?

  • I am head over heels in love with K9.

  • @dryadStone Ditto!!

  • I'm not sad, I'm ace and I'm watching it.

But i dont understand. The bbc used to go around pulling any episodes of their shows people put on youtube. Now they're giving them away?!

  • @SWiNETHEA They came to their senses, it seems. And hurrah for that.

  • @tamebay Seconded- this was an outstanding season, the most adult of all the old series.

  • @gilesderoet and some of the most boring too! This not included.

  • @th4397 yeah, true that. I remember I fell asleep watching the stupid cactus creature one.

  • This is my favourite classic Doctor Who. Love it. I'm a sad bastard.

  • I bout the keeper of tracken and three other full episodes as the doctor regenerates into peter davidson in the next episode.

It cost me £8 from WH Smith..

Go and have a look as they have a dvd sale on at the moment buddy..

    I hope this helps..

    Js

  • That 'Hadrick' kid is horrendously smarmy and annoying. Practically the "Jar Jar Binks" of the series.

  • yea, Adric sucks

  • @DarioBattisti It's Adrick. And he gets better as the show goes on.

  • @DarioBattisti

People have probably pointed this out but you misspelled his name; its Adric. And yeah he is a bit irratating.

  • I've got this on DVD. While its not a classic, I really like it.

( Apparently Tom Baker was unwell at this time and his normally curly hair had went straight ... so they gave him a perm.)

    I'm a fascinating guy, aren't I ? ;<

  • hey do u know were i could watch the dr who classic the keeper of traken on line or were i could pick up a copy on dvd ? man i love dr who but i love the master more :)
