  • Does the museum ever sell the baby axolotls? if so how could I contact the museum about buying some?

  • when did the museum get this? i was there in 2008 and i didnt see it :(

  • Hello! The Museum has displayed axolotls for many years now.. must have just missed them =) They are located at the end of the "Dinosaur Hall" area just before you get into the "Age of Mammals" exhibit. Lots of new things to see since 2008 as well, hope you will have a chance to return.

p.s. just ask one of our friendly gallery staff and they can point you in the right direction.

  • nice tank i have 6+ 100's of eggs lol

  • Fascinating animals.

I think I'm right in saying that there have been experiments where axolotls were injected with (growth?) hormone and they developed into 'mature' salamanders of a previously unknown variety.
