Mamola was a risk taking crowd pleaser and did some dumb things - but one heck of a rider, and here proving his sense of balance could get him out of trouble - in that was never equalled.

Randy was quite the showman, rmbr at the Brit GP in '88 he was on a Cagiva I think? Well the Cagiva was'ent exactly the fastest bike on the grid and Randy was 'entertaining' us all at McLean's almost every lap with huge black lines and literally clouds of smoke coming off the rear, the back was so far out of line with the front it was just OMG!

Af course he got the biggest cheers of anyone that day and even waved the odd time the cheering was that loud.
