Its strafing, pressing C+left/right with the analog stick forward, you go at two times faster speed (which outruns Trevalyn)

People say it was in the Beta and you had to open the grate on the floor near where it stops and get the explosives and blow it up. But Rare say that it is there to guide new players through the level, but many people (like Detstar) think that they removed it (like the island) since it would be too hard for the first level.

Hmm, I don't know. Try looking them up on eBay or something, I've had two - one when they first came out and one in 2001.

Or (sorry, only just remembered), download an Emulator or ROM. Its free and that's how I do most my videos (except for the play-through). This was on the actual N64 as you can tell =D
