This song is amazing & fits perfectly with the case,I get chills every time I listen to it so well written but ..I cant stand the movie.Ive tried time & again to watch it, I was SO excited I knew it was gonna rock but what a let down. That film can not compare to the 2 books about the boy sometimes called lil charlie manson. I hate to say it but yes his hair, played a major role in its FAILURE wtf? Thats like saying "hey lets just forget that he was a teen nope not part of the story screw it"
I ADORE this song, though I hate country music. Pretty cheerful song for such an odd homicide, don't you think? Anyways, I love that it doesn't "slam" Rod for the murders, but it also doesn't say Heather was innocent. Not a lot of people admit to deffending him over Heather. <3
I want to add that I liked this movie Vampire Clan too, however it was very hard to get a copy of it because it is kind of rare and I ended up having to order a copy off the Internet and I was very excited to watch it but was a little disappointed because it wasn't very actiony. the murder scenes although dramatic were not so great and not very visual. Drew Fuler the actor who played Rod Ferrel did do a good job but he looked absoulely nothing like the real Rod.They could at least give him a wig
No one, here, Jailhouse, is GLORIFYING what Rod did. They ARE pointing out that he did not, in any shape OR FORM, lead a spoilt or easy life.
Regardless of your OWN personal experiences, the fact does not change that Rods life was extremely screwed up, and as such, it affected him. What he did was wrong... there is no denying that, but he certainly did not have everything handed to him on a silver platter
I'm glad people are watching this video and commenting, but do NOT start some stupid YouTube comment fight, *please*. I'll disable comments if I have to, but come on. Arguing on YouTube videos is kind of childish. =/ Thanks.
Let me say first that I am in no way, shape or form condoning or defending what Rod Ferrell did, but to jailhouse 1957 he was not a spoiled brat in any way. He actually had a very hard and sad childhood. If you would actually look into the facts you would see that. I actually find myself feeling sorry for him and I think that Heather Wendorff is a liar. She knew what he was gonna do and she should be in prison just like him.
Well the song is an great song and knowing the band it wasn't written to glorify this little punk. I wish this spoiled brat would have tried that shit with me. I would be wearing his face for a halloween costume. I love it when someone with an easy life thinks they have it rough. Come live in my shoes wimp
Have you ever actually read about the Rod Ferrell case? He was repeatedly raped by his grandfather and had people sacrificed in front of him when he was a small child cause his grandfathers cult thought he was going to be some chosen guardian or something. Given his childhood its not really surprising they killed him. Try googling it. His confession is online somewhere too.
ok.. so now I have had 95% of the same stuff done to me. Occult, Rape, Beatings, and i know better than to do or act the way he did. Now if I went out and killed people would you talk about me like I was a great guy? I have studied murders and killers to see why they do the things they do. I do not glorify any types of murder. If you want to kill someone then kill yourself. Don't take family away from someone else.

Rod Ferrell was not raped by his grandfather - he was indeed raped as a child but his grandfather according to Rod had nothing at all to do with it.

I absolutely LOVE that song. And the band. Thanks for putting it out there, even if you write in the notes that you don't like it...

Thanks so much! And, lol, I love the song, too. Just saying that I don't normally like that style of music ;)

Rod Ferrell hardly had an easy life, as stated below. What he did was wrong, and crazy, but please research the case. It is a very interesting one.
