No I'm 30 sitting in my trucks on the site on my iphone, over the years of paying thousands among thousands, I am pissed at Ford. theyre trucks are horrible on reliability. they think they sell the most but GM sells more trucks, but they spilt GMC and Chevy. Dodge sells more diesels, and are built like tanks. all in all the Raptor is a 320 horsepower pussy truck that jumps......where you going to do that?! when the Power Wagon has actual real life capabilities and close to 400 horse power.
@MPLSTORM i like the power wagon too. but who can afford the fuel for it? it is great off road as long as you avoid the mud. but a 6000 pound truck + 285 tires in the mud = stuck. if you look through the other videos of the raptor you will find a few of it in the mud. it gets stuck too. in short, the raptor is for people that like a cool truck but will probably never really go off road with it. the power wagon is for contractors that need a bullet proof truck to get to job sites.
the HEMI gets 20 mpg with 80 more horse power than the Triton @ 20 mpg with only 320 HP, funny because the new 6.2 still only has the same rwhp as the 09 HEMI, yeah I agree about the Raptor just being a wow factor....but with only 320 horsepower?!
@MPLSTORM the 320 hp 5.4 raptor is faster in the 1/4 mile than the power wagon, and the raptor also has a 411 hp 6.2 ans lower crawler gears than the wagon
@EatmyDust1311 no true off road vehicle even includes it's 1/4 mile in it's specs. it is not a factor. in true offroading your speed is measured in yards per hour. you can search on this website and you will find several videos of the raptor getting stuck in the mud while what is typically considered to be lesser vehicles drive right by. the PW is not mud truck either, too heavy and tires too small. but the raptor has it place, purpose and following. and i do like it.

@EatmyDust1311 then it is the perfect truck for you. i tend more towards the slow speed offroading. and that is why in 4WL and locked into 1st gear my truck won't exceed 3 Mph. at 100 MPH it wouldn't survive the first pothole.
@ftldrdl it does slow speed to, it has lower crawl gears than any other truck out there. it does go slow, just doesnt like mud very much. it has ground clearance and all that (10.5 inches at the Lowest point under the truck) and skidplates. ford racing has a light bar and beefier skidplates too, which is convenient although the bar looks cheap. the ability to lock the diff in any drive at any speed is also nice, dont have to keep stopiing if theres a rough spot and can speed up between them...
@robby844 well that is not what ford says, and after off roading the truck I have no reason to believe it unlocks at speed. if you are not in off rode mode it will disengage, but it will stay locked at all times with it on. at any speed.

@robby844 no i don't have one. but when the crew cabs come out i may get one. i am very happy with my old 95 GMC. i am really not into going 100MPH off road. the type off road driving i do means you are lucky to make 100 yards an hour. i am sure if i changed the tires to a mud tread it's slow speed off road performance would improve. but the crew cab may be too nice to pass up.

if i were to get a black one i probably would not. the graphics with the black paint is a little too much dark. if i got one it would most likely be white, with the graphics. the contrast with the white paint, or any color paint except black, would be nice.
they are all 4wd with an electronic rear locking differential that can be locked even if you are in the 2wd mode. they are nice off-road racing trucks.
i had no control over the music they were playing at the dealership. and i understand about car makers ripping you off. GM stole the idea for the OnStar system from me. i even had a patent on it and their laywers were still able to get it. nothing is safe or sacred anymore.
For the 99% of us who don't live in Baja or Southwest, the raptor is absolutely pointless. Desert trucks are a micro-niche in the truck market, and totally useless on the street or in a heavy-duty towing roll. The 05-2010 Ram powerwagon has what a true off-roader wants... GEARS, LOCKERS, suspension articulation, towing capacity, torque, payload, flexibility, practicality, value. If you'rea wanna-be baja racer then the Raptor is for you; otherwise you're showing off skills you dont have.
For what it is worth I still have all the documentation. I was young and naive and too trusting. I also used a company called ISC (Invention Submission Corp.) to do the patent work. They are all thieves too. But yes I can prove what I said. Now I have something even bigger going. And they wont be able to steal this one.
i don't hate it. actually i love it. but i do have a little trouble justifying the cost of it since i still have a truck that runs great and is paid for and does everything i need it to. the raptor is a GREAT truck and i would love to have one. but it is a "love to have" item not a "need to have" item.
chevy has built a ZR2 version of the silverado. they have not decided if they are going to product it or not. but if can go to seriouswheels and find photos if it there. it is a more "gop slow" off road vehicle than the raptor which is a "go fast" off road vehicle.
it all depends on what type off roading you like. there aren't too many places i can go 150 MPH off road. but there are many where i can go 150 feet per hour. and that is where the GM trucks excell. the ford raptor execells in the other.
Ummm well been off-roading for many years now. And 90% of the time we are stopping to fix the gm's that go along new and old. One thing I never liked about gm trucks is that damn frame hang.
The f150 was the best selling vehicle during the cash for clunkers program. Trade in a f150 to buy a f150. It qualified because the old trucks were getting less than 19 mpg but the new ones were also getting less than 19 mpg. Thats what happens when the govt runs something.
the F150 has been the best selling vehicle for a long long time. i have a clunker. a 1995 GMC Sierra. it gets 15 MPG. and it did not qualify for the clunker program. i know, i tried. so it had nothing to do with that.
badass trucks. but honestly, who needs it? it's in a very odd market position, normal consumers don't need a baja truck that can jump and rock crawl, and real racers are going to put more money in their truck than ford would.
most people buy these for the status. they'll never use them off road. and if you look at the specs they are not capable of towing or hauling much either. but if they are used carefully and maintained they should last 20 years easily.
@chud89 I do have a clue since my brother and his friends actually do baja race, and I have a lifted F150 that I use for mudding. both of us have better suspension and traction than this thing, and I spent less for better performance.
im in the baja 500 with this truck next year of course theres better suspension packages which im doing but ur acting like ford is suppose to build a baja monster? anyways the boss engine can never be replicated and i sense that it will be present in many bajas to come under the chevy ls engine which most sponsored teams aim for anyways im done good day !

i have driven one. it excells in off-road racing. but i don't know of anywhere i can go to drive 150 MPH off-road. i do know of lots of palces where i can go 1 or 2 MPH through heavy mud, snow or sand. the raptor doesn't have a very good crawl ratio. and that is what is needed to get through the slow stuff. but you are right...it is a great and impressive truck to drive.

@robby844 the manual states "the rear locking differential (only to be used offroad) engages at any speed below 20 mph and disengages over 20 mph." read your manual.i just drove mine to barstow and i was dicking with the pos and it displayed on the info screen " not to be used over 20 mph" next your gonna tell HDC works at 90

@robby844 you may consider taking the truck to a dealer other than the one you bought it from. i have found that some dealers do not like to honor major warranty claims on the trucks they sold.

@robby844 no i don't have one. but when the crew cabs come out i may get one. i am very happy with my old 95 GMC. i am really not into going 100MPH off road. the type off road driving i do means you are lucky to make 100 yards an hour. i am sure if i changed the tires to a mud tread it's slow speed off road performance would improve. but the crew cab may be too nice to pass up.

no diesel but there is a full 4 door (crew cab) coming. and 38K gets you the very most basic version. real prices are between 43K and 45K.

if i were to get a black one i probably would not. the graphics with the black paint is a little too much dark. if i got one it would most likely be white, with the graphics. the contrast with the white paint, or any color paint except black, would be nice.

i had no control over the music they were playing at the dealership. and i understand about car makers ripping you off. GM stole the idea for the OnStar system from me. i even had a patent on it and their laywers were still able to get it. nothing is safe or sacred anymore.

For the 99% of us who don't live in Baja or Southwest, the raptor is absolutely pointless. Desert trucks are a micro-niche in the truck market, and totally useless on the street or in a heavy-duty towing roll. The 05-2010 Ram powerwagon has what a true off-roader wants... GEARS, LOCKERS, suspension articulation, towing capacity, torque, payload, flexibility, practicality, value. If you'rea wanna-be baja racer then the Raptor is for you; otherwise you're showing off skills you dont have.

For what it is worth I still have all the documentation. I was young and naive and too trusting. I also used a company called ISC (Invention Submission Corp.) to do the patent work. They are all thieves too. But yes I can prove what I said. Now I have something even bigger going. And they wont be able to steal this one.

i don't hate it. actually i love it. but i do have a little trouble justifying the cost of it since i still have a truck that runs great and is paid for and does everything i need it to. the raptor is a GREAT truck and i would love to have one. but it is a "love to have" item not a "need to have" item.

chevy has built a ZR2 version of the silverado. they have not decided if they are going to product it or not. but if can go to seriouswheels and find photos if it there. it is a more "gop slow" off road vehicle than the raptor which is a "go fast" off road vehicle.

it all depends on what type off roading you like. there aren't too many places i can go 150 MPH off road. but there are many where i can go 150 feet per hour. and that is where the GM trucks excell. the ford raptor execells in the other.

The f150 was the best selling vehicle during the cash for clunkers program. Trade in a f150 to buy a f150. It qualified because the old trucks were getting less than 19 mpg but the new ones were also getting less than 19 mpg. Thats what happens when the govt runs something.

the F150 has been the best selling vehicle for a long long time. i have a clunker. a 1995 GMC Sierra. it gets 15 MPG. and it did not qualify for the clunker program. i know, i tried. so it had nothing to do with that.

most people buy these for the status. they'll never use them off road. and if you look at the specs they are not capable of towing or hauling much either. but if they are used carefully and maintained they should last 20 years easily.

i realy don't know those specs for either the denali or the raptor. but the denali is not an off road vehicle. it's 4WD system really isn't set up for off road but rather driving on road in bad conditions.

i have driven one. it excells in off-road racing. but i don't know of anywhere i can go to drive 150 MPH off-road. i do know of lots of palces where i can go 1 or 2 MPH through heavy mud, snow or sand. the raptor doesn't have a very good crawl ratio. and that is what is needed to get through the slow stuff. but you are right...it is a great and impressive truck to drive.

lol i am only dreaming but i think this truck woucl be a blast going through the glades... just put a set of superswampers on for tires and a winch and there will be nothing that will stop you... plus you live in the glades so you have to drive a truck that looks as badass as it drives like the raptor.
