  • I think he rock number "13" cause he wants to play with Datsyuk in Detroit :P

  • If only the leafs didnt throw away their last 3 first round picks they would have Tukka Rask (goalie prospect), Tyler Seguin (one of the best center prospects), and a first round this year... And for the rebuild they got what? Phil Kessel who can barely score on his best of days. Someone tell me how Burke still has his job...

  • @pruane2isgod Brian Burke didn't even have anything to do with the Rask deal, that was TWO general managers ago... Kessel has more goals than Ovechkin this year.

  • People don't get over excited on this kid, everyone expected so much from Rob Schremp because he had these amazing dekes but it didnt get him anywhere.

  • @hockeykid2738 He's actually pretty good, he's just on a shit team so no one notices except the people who watch him a lot.

  • @GOODPLAYA20 jurco on a shit team? saint john finished the season 58-7-1. i don't know what your definition of shit is, but that's not it

  • @armedwithturtles I wasn't talking about Jurco, I was talking about Rob Schremp and how he was supposed to be really good and wasn't. The Islanders are the shit team I was talking about. BTW, if you know a lot about Saint john, what's the deal with that guy Gabriel Bourret? He any good?

  • @AtooZ17 yep u got that right i am from saint john lol there alot of scouts that are dow here for him and the leafs are one

  • @AtooZ17 i hope so we suck

  • why don't you criticize the gov't instead for mismanaging taxpayer's $ and corruption and frivolous spending on needless shit like trips to Spain for the first lady? put THAT money into hospitals and schools and what not. the players get paid millions because people are willing to pay $100 for a ticket. just like actors get paid millions because people are willing to flock to see the flicks. just like rappers are paid the same because teenagers gobble up the songs.

  • ive actually seen the dogs play before.

  • lol le goaler la jamais vu aller XD

  • I still like neidereider's glove throwing distraction goal....

  • I guess it was ok. seen better. :/

  • Drummond won the heck out of this one! What a goal, but what a game!!!

  • SLOVAKIA!!!!!!

  • I don't understand why this is at 60 thousand views. I bet he himself wold say it's not very remarkable.

  • @Duhonovan ill give you that its not very remarkable, but considered he isnt at the nhl level this is a very unique and creative move, that is harder to do than to say

  • @maxxamtml I'm just saying it's been done before and i've seen other goals of his, and he can definitely do better. And it's pretty easy to do, if you can skate backwards..

  • oh SHIT

  • Nice, but nothing to special, although a GREAT move.

  • how about enough arguing and just say...

    dirty goal

  • @chaosdragon1212 then why did u watch this. think before you comment im seeing this all the time on youtube

  • scoring on a shootout is hard i hear.

  • bfah, it wasnt that nice.

good deeke, but not really amazing at all.

  • flashy, but pretty easy to do. classic after practice shootout move.

  • this is what i never did fucking get..... a bunch of grown men chasing and fighting over a $.98 piece of hard rubber and making millions. while our fire fighters put their lives on the line and make no more that $40,000. a year. thats fucked up. and yes I am a CANADIAN.

  • @customerservicerat governments can't afford to pay firefighters millions, etc

team owners can pay players because of stadium ticket prices, merchandise sales etc

  • @1488slav I dont mean pay the fire fighters millions, but at least pay them $150,000. a year. and dont tell me the fucking government do not have the money when they spend billions on fucking war & give away even more to aid. its about time we started to look after what is really important.

  • @customerservicerat: If we we're to give everyone millions of dollars, our economy will godown the drain. If we we're to give these police men, firemen.. etc.. like 150,000 a year. They will only be in service for like 6 years until they retire, we dont want a society where there's a little number of cops and firemen, cuz bad things will happen, people getting away with murder. We need society to be a safe-like place And if you became a hockey player, i bet you wouldn't be arguing.

  • @YER0CKY point taken.

  • @YER0CKY You wouldn't be giving EVERYONE millions of dollars. If you cut the salaries of professional atheletes down to reasonalbe levels (100,000 - 250,000 max) and redistributed that money to school systems and hosptitals wouldn't that make more sense? The system has failed. Tickets are way too expensive. The players are spoiled. Society cares about entertainment above all else. I love the NHL as much as anyone but sometimes you gotta wonder why ANYONE is worth millions to shoot a puck...

  • @extropian there wouldn't really be anything to aspire to be as an athlete if there weren't huge salaries, and we don't need more ppl going to school we need less ppl. then schooling everyone would be fine. industry drives population, larger population = larger profits. should worry less about hockey players making millions and more about the ppl pushing large scale profit.

  • @extropian

Use your head. The NHL is a company. It's not going to give half it's revenue to schools, it will clearly go broke. Where do you think all the taxes from tickets and merchandise go? Into building schools/infrastructure/ect. The sports leagues are great for the economy. You clearly don't understand how business works.

  • @extropian

You think being in the NHL is just shooting pucks? These guys train their whole lives, all year round, to maybe get a chance to play. Most don't go into secondary education, so what happens if they get a career ending injury? Nothing to fall back on. Pretty big risk. If they actually do make it they are on the road all the time, or training/practice. And there is a high risk of injury.

It's obvious why they get paid a lot. Just not to you because you can't think logically.

  • @extropian

So before you go complaining about how much they make why don't you actually think what it's like to be at that level. They train all year, are under intense pressure, rarely spending time at home, working in a dangerous environment, with nothing to fall back on if they get seriously injured or don't play well.

Would you like to make all those sacrifices and get payed lower than you deserve?

  • @extropian Your an idiot. The wages of NHL players are not decided by anyone group or organisation but NHL teams make millions of dollars and are going to pay players as much as they can in order to get them to come play for their team. As long as the NHL is making money ticket prices, the amount players make and the attitude of players will remain the same.

  • @extropian well said

  • @extropian because people are willing to pay that much. Value in itself is arbitrary until measured against something else. The amount of effort that goes into the creation of a professional athlete is worth millions. Your argument is flawed, you might as well be angry at walmart for being rich.

  • @Studddder right, what was i thinking? money is everything, money determines our values. Get rich or die trying. I misplaced my script, forgive me.

  • @extropian Haven't you watched football, baseball, or soccer? Those players get paid twice as much as NHLers retard

  • @everythingisthat12 did I say anything about other sports? And those athletes being paid more just supports my aruguement even more. The word 'retard' is really offensive by the way.

  • @extropian the word retard is VERY offensive. Didnt these people ever see the ringer? Yeah. well, needless to say, the guy who says retard gets his ass kicked by the mental dude in the hot dog suit.

  • @extropian Good. It was meant to be.

  • @extropian I agree that they are over payed, but part of what they are getting payed for is the abuse they put on their bodies. from a health point of view, training all year and abusing your body in a contact sport like hockey or football for a living can cause a lot of issues like arthritis, ect. when they get older.

that and they got mad skills

  • @extropian Cause it takes years of practice and training lets see u go up againsit sidney crosby or jarome iginla you'd get killed no massacared

  • @extropian you have to realize that they're aren't many people that can play like crosby and ovechkin, that's why they get paid so much. I'm a huge canucks fan and we have the most expensive cheap seats in the whole league, i'm willing to pay $112 for decent seats. The organizations make more money than you can imagine the only reason why they arent being paid more than 9 mil a year is because of the cap. think if you were offered 1 mil to play for calgary and la gives you 3 what r u guna take

  • @extropian also retard if they were to give all the excess money to the government not all the money would go to schools and hospitals. the NHL is just a business that's all it is if people are willing to pay a lot of money on tickets why would you as an owner raise the prices. Why don't you educate your self on the matter before you go running your mouth like a retard

  • @MrMeehat You had some decent points in your argument but ruined it when you flew off the handle and start throwing around words like "retard" and just generally belittling him. The anger was obviously not necessary, next time just state your argument in a civil manner and your point will get across much more effectively.

  • @At0mmic very true very true

  • @extropian its called supply and demand stupid...everyone wants to watch it so theres high demand, and its millions of ppls dream jobs.. and 100000 isnt much at all.. they only play likke 15 years and then they gotta support themselves off that

  • @extropian i agree, some players are making millions a year but surgeons, are at a range of 300-500 grand, even doctors with their shitty 300 grand

  • @extropian welcome to capitalism...

  • @extropian they are. just go with it. sports is where its at, and you have to deal with it. aj burnette with the yankees is makine 180 million per year for the next 5 years. DEAL WITH IT

  • @extropian You're simplying things way too much. Sure, they shoot the puck, but they also train physically hard every day and they can barely walk down the street without being mobbed. Also, they take so much physical punishment and pain while playing that is really under-estimated. Some of the guys get concussions and are messed up for the rest of their life. Sure, tey are overpaid, but if you were to play one game against them, you'd be going home on a strectcher.

  • @extropian because there is less of a supply for good hockey players than there are other things you mentioned. This allows the demand for these players to be very high and allow them giant salaries

  • @extropian you realize there are professional sports, other than hockey, that pay up into the millions. There are musicians and artists that get paid even more as well. If you're going to make a statement like you did please include all offenders not just one specific.

  • @extropian yeah im totally in accord with you

  • @extropian nhl players get one of the lowest pays in sports. tennis, golf, soccer and basketball get way more. tiger gets around 100mil like every year, nadal gets like 40 mil, ronaldo 150 mil for 2 years or something, and kobe gets 25 mil in a year or two.

  • @tech2kn0w true but they still get paid pretty good. That money amount is pretty accurate but thats including endorcments. The lowest a player can be payed in the nhl is 500,000 dollars i think. But players like ovechkin are getting payed 9.5 mill a year just on there contract than you add in the CCM,Rebok,Nike,Underamer and what not and hes definatly up there.Majority players get over 1 million a year. But yes they are payed less than all american based sports.some dont even have a cap space

  • @extropian I think that it should be lower as well, but if they dont change it i think it should be mandatory in every players contract that they must give back by using there contract/endorcment money for charities and giving back to the community and keep the amount reasonable to the individual contract. This way the money isnt just going into the players pocket to exploit themselfs and will keep the players grounded and aware of what matters the most, if that where to happen everyone would win

  • @likespaintball You are preaching to the choir. If you thtink athletes get too much money then don't support them. The fact is there are far more troubling issues to worry about and the least of which is why Britney Spears makes millions for singing crap. Baseball is arguably a lesser skilled sport than hockey yet you have multiple athletes making $15-20 million dollars contracts. In the NHL there's only about 2-3 guys making $10mil a season.

  • @supercooled who said im worrying about it. Iv been playing and watching hockey my entire life. Theres nothing wrong with thinking they should support charitys and the community, it would make the sport better and even grow it a little more. If theres any sport i have a problem with when it comes to contract is the NFL. Breet farve averages a million dollars a game for 60 minutes, and they play once a week.

  • @likespaintball WHy just isolate that to hockey players? I think the NBA is far more troubling of all the sports since they all come from the ghetto and hoard all the millions they're paid. If there ever was an example of flaunting ones riches, it's NBA players. I don't doubt there are some who donate and do community work but racial rife is no greater than the one in the NBA. You could say the NBA is mostly blacks and NHL/MBL is whites but of them all, who's more charitble? Does it matter?

  • @extropian The NHL isn't funded by the government so why would it matter how much they get paid or tickets cost.

  • @shiverunit

cuz money comes from the government

  • @extropian It's not our tax dollars that pay these athletes; they are gaining these through ticket revenues that fans are WILLING to pay. It is up to our government to pay for school systems and health care, not a profit-concerned business. If you don't think that there is enough funding for those areas of concern, raise your argument publicly, and pay higher taxes.

  • @TheNotaverybigdeal7 Why cant sports teams be taken over by the government. That way all the ticket revenues could go towards paying for school systems or health care rather than going into the pocket of some fat cat business man exploiting a peoples love for a sport for his own personal gain.

  • @Billcot1 Unfortunately, that's virtually impossible. The Canadian and American governments combined would not be able the expenses of the NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL, MLL, MLS, and NLL. Those are just many dozens of professional sports leagues. Could they really afford transportation costs, arena/field maintenance, equipment, and so on? And out of all that, because of the lower prices you mentioned, they would not be able to afford support for school systems and health care.

  • @TheNotaverybigdeal7 Sports teams typically make millions upon millions of dollars of profit. The ticket sales, merchandise sales etc could cover those expenses and the rest of the money (profit) that normally goes into the pockets of rich business men that own the teams could then go into the school system and health care. Seems pretty simple to me...

  • @extropian It's all about parity. Athletes have a commodity which is their skill, the better you are the more you are worth which is why you have the lowest guys making 600k+ for essentially beating guys up or playing 5-10 minutes of a game skating around acting tough and if you can put in 50 goals a season you are worth about $10 million.

Why should CEOs of companies make millions? Not everyone can do their job likewise with athletes.

  • @extropian i get what your saying, they are just like you and me, except they are really fucking good at hockey and that is a good product to sell. And in a capitalist society where supply and demand runs everything in terms of prices, NHL owners can make ticket prices expensive because there is a higher demand then supply. Its just the way it is unless you want to switch to communism?

  • @extropian in addition, part of the reason why they are paid so much in so little time, is because their career can end in an instant. One hit or blocked shot could end a player's career. They may not have a career to fall back on right away, but their money (even reduced radically by tax and escrow) can still support them for several years.

  • @extropian THAT! Is your big revelation? We should cut spending of SPORTS? For school systems? IF you're gonna get all high and mighty you should prioritize. Better schooling is all well and good but it's the least of anyone's worries at this point.

  • @extropian None of you people realize that after the age of 40 or earlier, their CAREERS ARE OVER. A high salary is necessary to facilitate the 40+ years after that where they won't be employed as an athlete. They'll move on to front desk jobs or coaching positions that pay significantly less.

Not to mention the risk involved in playing a contact sport like this. Go ask Marc Savard if he wouldnt mind getting paid 1/10th of his salary to help out schools and hospitals.

  • @extropian As long as they don't get any government money, I'm okay with them making that kind of money. That includes for arenas.

If people are willing to pay for it, then why not?

  • @extropian let me lol at ''redistributed that money to school systems and hospitals'' a professional team is a business , the same type as Shell,Loblaws or WalMart. Why would they give their profits directly to public services??? do you ear about McDonald's giving their profits to schools and hospitals...no they give a little bit to charity and stuff like that but the nhl and all the 30 teams do as well.I'd rather see all the money go to the players who gives the show than to the owners.

  • @HardcoreGodz of course the salaries are way to high but that's the way it is...

  • @HardcoreGodz dude i know this guy he went on the ice with me (and he's my moms boss's billet) he doesnt even make enough too go too subway at lunch for 5 days a week!

  • @duke9723 that's not what we were talking about dude I know he is playing in the QJMHL I'm from Quebec...I wasn't talking about him I was replying to extropian

  • @extropian do you know how many people actually make more than 250,000? maybe 500 people in the NHL, that's not even the population of a medium sized company. Also, you can't say that someone isn't "worth" a million, the sad part of life is effot does not necessarily correlate to value, you might as well say no one is worth 4 billion for thinking up facebook. athletes devote their life to play hockey so consider them winning the lottery, except they actually tried hard for it.

  • @extropian It's called capitalism.

  • @extropian It is called Free Market. If you do not want athletes to be rich, then do not buy a sports-ticket.

  • @extropian what they SHould do is give players a bonus if their team wins a stanley cup. hockey's becoming like basketball, too much flash, not enough grit and heart.

  • @borisisgay56 they are already too much fuckin paid that's why they don't give a shit if they loose....they win millions anyway...now make them get 100000$ per year and a million if they win the cup...i bet you they will work fuckin hard to get it

  • @borisisgay56 they already do get a fuckin bonus for winning the cup are u fucked?

  • @customerservicerat

You talk to much about that which you know too little. Sure firefighters deserve more. But if you paid each one an extra 100 grand a year where do you think that money is coming from? Our soliders fighting for us? Our schools? Our hospitals? Our infrastructure? It's not possible.

Or should we raise taxes to ridiculous heights to pay them? Until you understand a government's budget you should stop telling them what they should do.

  • @ElecEng91 very intelligent answer for such a young man. good job sir

  • @customerservicerat

Simply put, those hockey players offer to us a level of entertainment that no other people can match on the ice. That's why they get paid the big bucks.

  • @AccurateGaming

But baseball players make so much more than hockey players, and i cant say they are even close to entertaining as hockey players are

  • @AccurateGaming so your saying that some one who may save your life in the future is not worth as much as a hockey or base ball player? your view on life is back word.

  • @customerservicerat

someone who can save my life is obviously invaluable. unfortunately, there are hundreds of thousands of people, if not millions, who have the same skill set/training. you cannot say that about a micheal jordan, tiger woods, wayne gretzky, etc. it supply and demand.

oh yeah, and in case you haven't heard, life isn't fair...

  • @customerservicerat I didn't say that anywhere, great job on trying to twist my words though. I'm saying the FACT is, professional players in any sport offer a level of entertainment that the majority of the population cannot offer. There are a lot more people that can be a firefighter than a Sidney Crosby. It's pretty basic economics.

  • it was nice but nothing too difficult

  • Nothing special. An average shootout goal.

  • one of a kind!

  • Whats so great about that? its good but not that good.

  • Kid played to much NHL '94.. what's the next glitch goal he'll attempt?!
