  • 7:54 You suntan indoors?

  • As long as we stand up against the govt they wont be getting away with it in the states.

  • You sound high...are you??

  • ts actually intercepting the power from the wall to the freezer not the other way around!

  • Good info.

  • If only you did some better planning at the beginning of going all grain you could have saved yourself the few hundred dollars you spent buying stuff for a cold room. Actually that extra money could of gone to a bigger keezer. Oh well live and learn. When's the next brew?

  • @AGoalStopper007 Cold rooms are great and not that expensive check out my last vid, Walkin cooler part 1

  • Keep that as a fermenter, when sears has a chest freezer on sale scoop it

  • If you build a collar like I have on my keezer you could fit 3 kegs in there with real tap handles! This hobby is soooo fun!!!

  • @tomroeder I'm definitely doing a collar on mine. It will allow me a) to move my CO2 bottle outside the keezer and b) give me extra room to cold crash a fermenting bucket or cold condition a fourth corny keg. Besides, I've already had two disasters with pinched picnic taps draining gallons of great beer to the bottom of the keezer. Never again!

  • Nice Video.

How difficult is it to wire the temperature controller?

I'm not really good with electrical wiring.

  • @HockeyFan2981 ..You can an analog one for $60 or a digital for $100 ready to go out of the box.

  • @nige4958 like the one used in this video or is it another name brand?

  • @HockeyFan2981 Mine's a Johnson. Extremely reliable and hasn't missed in a beat in 7 years. Williams brewing in Northern California has both analog and digital ones.

  • Next beer I brew will be a Kolsch, which is a German ale that is very lager like. All pilsner malt with a touch of Munich and all Spalt hops. You may want to try this TSA. You will need to ferment it in the low to mid 60'sF and lager for 2-4 weeks at 35F. Forget the adjunct lager, a Kolsch will give you the same type of refreshment you're looking for without having to ferment cold.

  • @nige4958 I love advice like this....this is what makes youtube such a wonderful tool for homebrewers wanting to learn!!!

  • Good stuff! I just pulled my first lager I made out of my keezer. I use a Johnson controller but it works the exact same way. I highly recommend a keezer setup for lagering.

  • That's a great setup! If my home made ferm chiller doesn't work good enough, this is what I'll have to go to. But yeah, my little home made box won't crash cool or lager.
