  • is that for people or rabbits? lol.. but i love this channel, great ideas n recipes!

  • Hi

Im having a difficult time seeing all those vegies neatly wrapped in that lettuce leaf. I wish you could have shown you wrapping those vegies and the finished wrap. Is it eaten like a taco? or like a rolled sandwich?

  • @roseimes I eat it like a rolled sandwich, and keep my hands around it as I eat. They definitely are messy, but that's part of the fun :)

  • @roseimes i found it easier for me to quickly dip the lettuce into hot water a few times or to steam them for a few seconds. im not sure if doing so takes away any nutrients (probably does and if so i'll stop doing it) but it helps with the wrapping/folding. AWESOME RECIPE THOUGH!

  • could you actually show us how to wrap it next time. thank you

  • My two year old loves this too. I make his as more of a salad - no lettuce, and he eats it with a fork. I'm so lucky to have a kid that will eat veggies.

  • @MrsBrettBretterson nice! glad you both are enjoying them :)

  • I'm totally hooked on these - I make them about once a week. Love them!

  • it seems that i can only find chick peas in a can you can never buy them fresh. i dont like the cans cause of the aluminum and i cant live without hummus lol does anybody know a way around this, anyway to get fresh chick peas? peace

  • @ganjaking187 I get them dried - if you find a bulk section at a grocery store, there are often a few kinds of dried beans. Otherwise, they might be in a bag on a shelf. I usually find the bags of dried beans with the Indian foods in the store, or if you can find an Indian grocery store they should have dried chickpeas. good luck :)

  • @healthyvegan oh you can buy them dry like lentils that's awesome i didn't know that. ty for your comment it really helped me out, ive been trying to get off meat ever since i read the books of the Essens and they inspired me not to eat meat but its hard living in a irish family they eat meat with everything lol peace

  • You are glowing and beautiful! What is your skin care regime? Do you wear any makeup?

  • @kt3ar thank you :) I don't really have much of a 'regime'... I actually just use regular soap (I know, the horrors!! I wash my hair with baking soda every other day, so I use the baking soda when I do that, much less harsh on the skin pH) and moisturize with extra virgin coconut oil - same stuff you get for cooking. I don't wear any foundation or powder or anything - just a bit of mascara occasionally. I may have to do a video about this, I get a LOT of questions on it ;)

  • I was just wondering what I could eat for lunch. . . problem solved!

  • Why would something like virgin olive oil be anything less than healthy? It is just pressed from the olive without heat. . .

I used to follow a strict yogic diet, where foods are further divided into three categories: sattvic, rajisic, and tamasic. Yogiis eat only sattvic foods, because of the perceived negative effects of the other two types on meditation. Just another approach to "healthy" . . .

BTW, Phil is a LUCKY guy, you are gorgeous!

  • @martindemadrid there are definitely LOTS of ways to be healthy, and lots of ways to approach it. very interesting on the yogic diet :) on olive oil - aside from the fact that it isn't always processed in a healthy way - it's just super-concentrated fat. Whole foods have vitamins, minerals, protein, carbs, fiber and water along with the fat. It makes it easier on our bodies to digest. That's not to say you HAVE to avoid oils to be healthy, it's just something to think about :) and thanks btw ;)

  • heather where do you buy your clothes/jewelry? is your entire wardrobe vegan?

  • @avasephora funny, I've been thinking about my wedding ring in videos lately since I do so many close-ups on my hands... I've been wondering 'does anyone wonder what my ring is made of? or am I the only crazy person who worries about it?' So my wedding ring is made of recycled gold, with no additives (from Green Karat). My shirt is from MEC (in Canada) and made of organic cotton. I have older clothes that aren't, but figure it's better to keep wearing them than giving them away and buying more

  • This looks really good! I love the idea of lettuce wraps for lunch. Simple, fast, easy and most importantly - nutritious! I'm going to have to try this and add some avocado for some creaminess.

  • @b0rtie oh yeah... avocado is one of my fave fillings :) have fun with it!

  • Please, don't feed the trolls!

    GO VEGAN! =D

  • @MrRickySmith90 Amen!

  • @MrRickySmith90 they have fake meat too try that once in a while

  • @MrRickySmith90 Veganism is compassion.

A long time ago I was just a Vegetarian admiring you Vegan guys.

  • are regular onions ok? I don't get green onions where i live.

  • @enigmaticfille I'll bet that thinly sliced white or red onions would be a delish alternative!

  • @juniorpervert will try. thanks. :-D

  • @juniorpervert @enigmaticfille Absolutely - and if you soak them in a bit of cold water for 10-15 min it'll take away some of the bite.

  • nice

  • You look pale.. need some real solid meat once in a while. Eating healthy and also exercise daily is more than enough to keep a healthy lifestyle and so as eating lifestyle. It won't hurt to eat real meaty protein once in a while.

  • @phenochio go away troll >.<

  • @phenochio that would defeat the whole vegan thing.....

  • @phenochio I'd encourage you to do some research- Vegan lifestyles are completely healthy, and are a viable option for people who prefer a meatless diet. Yeah, organic meat (non red-meat) can be healthy as well, but it's not necessarily "above" or "below" vegetarian/vegan diets. It's a matter of preference. Pale? I personally really envy her healthy skin-tone!! Yeah, she's not caked with synthetic blushes/makeup, like almost every other woman on the planet. She rocks the pale-natural look! :)

  • @kris10elayne aw, thanks :) I was going to say my pale-ness is more related to the fact that I'm Canadian and it's April than whether I eat meat ;) Interestingly, my sister-in-law is Chinese and she tries to stay out of the sun as much as possible because they think pale skin is more beautiful. It's a matter of preference in skin too I guess :)

  • @kris10elayne actually vegan lifestyles are much MORE healthy than non-vegan, especially if you eat certified organic products, and be sure to get sufficient (vegetable) protein supplemented with vitamins.

  • @phenochio You need to do some research and quit hatin! This woman rocks! So stfu and go hate somewhere else you troll! =)

  • @phenochio I agree, you can be healthy eating a small amount of animal protein - I choose not to, for a few different reasons, but I've always been pale & I've never felt healthier than I do now. I think health is a result of consciously choosing foods that are healthy & that work for you, & like you said getting exercise & activity daily. I would never say that a vegan diet is necessary for health, but the state of our food production (animal AND plant) right now changes what an ideal diet is

  • @healthyvegan Heather, think you are absolutely gorgeous and glowing! Thanks for the vids and the motivation :)

  • @phenochio get it in your head, we humans don't NEED meat in our diet to be healthy.

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz actually if you go to the doctor they tell you should eat meat to get your daily protein or at least veggie meat, FUCKIN HIPPIES!!!!!

  • @evanthemovieman so you're saying meat is the only source of protein? mate, carl lewis was at the peak of his career as an athlete when he was a vegan. not just a vegetarian, a VEGAN... and you wanna tell me you need meat to get protein? go search up vegan body builders, then tell me I should eat meat to get my daily protein. and veggie meat? if you're talking about tofu, that's not meat. and does it bother you that much that some people don't eat a certain type of food/foods?

  • @phenochio i feel you on that, I'm looking at this wondering how shes gonna get full from a piece of lettuce with vegetables in it

  • @phenochio I think she looks really healthy :)

I'm a Vegan too and still strong if not stronger. Cheers!

  • Looks very appetizing!! Thx for this video.
