Nice job! From working on a recycle truck, there's no way I'd pick that stuff up without ear plugs. Those bottles will make your ears ring without protection... learned that the hard way my first day.
Oh I agree with you about ear plugs mate, a good safety initiative for these bottles recycling routes... especially if you're standing right beside the "crash area" =] There's been some collections where I've been dumping bins at, and as soon as the bin's tipped upside down... you don't hear the sound of the truck's engine revving at 1000RPM, don't hear the roaring traffic on the main road... just a deafening clattering + crashing + smashing sound!
I love the old Watts Waste trucks. They have character...
