I have just purchased a CP300, and the built in GP's, although good, don't sound anything like as good as the Ivory Steinway. Can you tell me, apart from needing the software installed on a laptop, is it straight forward to connect/play thru this type of keyboard? Would I need any other equipment?

ps. If I could play as well as you, I would treat myself to a Steinway Model D!(and call myself Keith).

i run the ivory with garageband.

but it should also work as a stand alone programm, i guess.

if you use a mac, you just need an midi-usb cable to connect digitalpiano and computer.

if you don't use a mac, it gets more complicated, i've been told.

Thanks, I know the Ivory Steinway is part of a software package, but do you know the model number of the keyboard?

it a yamaha p-150 from 1995. the touch/keys are in bad shape. i'm searching something new.
