When are they gonna build a place to transfer between G train and 2,3,4,5 trains. As it is now they cross each other, but you have to go to the surface and walk 5+ minutes to transfer between them. That is stupid. Can't they build a tunnel to connect them somewhere in downtown Brooklyn?
The W train is now retired jacksass, The M as shown in this video no longer services brooklyn and has a new orange logo and the N train enters brooklyn via the manhattan bridge so can not stop at lawrence st.
According to the video description above, it is supposed to be completed next year in 2011. However, they are vague about it because the MTA people does not exactly know when, next year, the project will be complete.
Come on, it's just a connector! What a small project it is! I don't know how could they speak so much about such a tiny thing. While the guys are talking about this project, another new subway station has been built in Shanghai.
Sadly, in this day and age it's an impressive feat for the U.S.
Look how long the Second Avenue line is taking. Look how much work it is to build another line or two of subway in L.A., hell look how much work L.A. has to do just to build a fricking light rail line.
The USA's time is past unless we get our construction costs under control. The first thing we need to do is eliminate EIR requirements for transit expansions. It eats so much time and money.
Not only that, but allow (rather, encourage) cheap foreign labour to be imported to build it rather than having to pay expensive American union wages.

I heard in the grapevine that construction of this transfer will be finished for a December 10, 2010, opening. Is it true?

I have two new connection ideas for the MTA
1. The J & Z at Bowery to the B & D at Grand Street
2. The 3 at Junius Street to the L at Livonia Avenue

This will be a very useful connection for many Brooklyn residents. When is it supposed to be completed?
