  • WE ARE AN OCCUPIED COUNTRY

  • I write letters all the time. .44cts is a lot better than riding in a police car, sitting in the holding cage. having your friends gather money to come get you.

driving to Grafton Superior court is not a fun endeavor. It is so far away from everything. I take Vermont highways to get to the Grafton superior courthouse.

All 3 arrests and 4 charges where marijuana related. 2 sales, one possession with intentet to sell, and one possession charge.

  • I wonder how many protestors belong to NORML. Probably very few. If they really want to make a change that is the first thing someone should do. Special interest groups have power and if everyone that smoked joined NORML it wouldnt even be a fight anymore.

  • Funny thing is these people don't look like good citizens trying to make a change. They all look like the fucking scum of the earth. They look like rapists heroin dealers and kidnappers. Can't wait to get at these shits!

  • @AwesomeX69: How so... is it the hoods that make them look like scum... I think it's pretty scummy to name yourself Awesome. Does that make you deserving of someone getting at you??? Takes a pretty big man to anonymously call out strangers on youtube... you must have brass balls. :-)

  • I'm going to Keene and bet the shit out of any Freestaters or hipsters. Best part is the Keene PD would let me get away with it!

  • The moronic fucks here who are using "the law is moral because it's the law" argument would be right at home in Nazi Germany, or in the slaveholding south. They are the whimpering sympathizers with tyranny who can't think for themselves and are angry that other people can think for themselves. Fuck 'em, let a stry bullet hit 'em, cause I don't give a shit about 'em, they're rock bottom, don't tread on me, or you're gonna get the venom...

  • when I get high I like to chill ^_*

  • Bless you people! Remember: Peter McWilliams was murdered by the laws you are protesting. Remember that whenever you hear narrow minded bigots criticizing you. You are doing wonderful work!

  • no offense to the person hosting this channel who makes these videos, however, i think that the protesters here are acting like a bunch of morons. Seriously, grow up people. I do enjoy smoking marijuana occasionally, but some of what i witnessed here is simply no way to behave while being high.

  • You all need fucking lives!!!! The 70's have long since been over so get the fuck out of America if you don't like it and quit your bitching!!!!

  • Its really unfortunate that you think like that... I fell sorry for you my friend. If u want to conform and be beaten into what they want you to do, than i feel really sorry for you.

  • Is it up to those cops whether or not they arrest these people for publicly smoking marijuana? They're yelling at them calling them fascists but it seems to me the cops don't have much choice even if they disagree with the war on drugs. What do you think?

  • i agree, the cops have to enforce the law. these people are protesting and yelling at the wrong people. they should be doing this at the capital building or white house.

  • @smith45acp NOTE: I also carry a 45 ACP (XD 45), and a backup. What do I think? --The kids are all right. Every single human being on earth has a choice about what actions they're going to take, in all circumstances. The excuse, "We were just following orders." wasn't good enough for the nazis, and it's not good enough for these cops. Moreover, the cops can actually state that their oath to uphold the constitution takes precedence over their orders to behave against it. Google "Oath Keepers"

  • I'd be more than happy to transfer my debt to you! I think my net worth is something like $-80k.

  • Ayn Rand created a "philosophy" as an attempt at justifying laissez faire capitalism.

Ever heard of polishing a turd?

Laissez faire capitalism is nothing more than another form of fundamentalism, except this religion doesn't worship a "holy spirit", it's the idolization of capital.

So, no I don't have a problem. I just don't relish the idea of living in a theocracy.

  • Even if marijuana was decriminalized or legalized, people still wouldn't be permitted to eat, inhale or otherwise ingest it in public. These types of rally's generally do nothing more than create unnecessary stigma around issue's which may have otherwise been seriously addressed. Look at these "protestors". Most people will view them as trouble makers who just want to be able to do whatever they want, whenever they want, without regard for anyone else.

  • I think if you are going to go into a protest knowing you might get arrested you shouldn't start yelling and getting in they're face when they arrest you. Just be like alright it's my time to go and have everyone just sort of pity the pathedic storm troopers.

  • There should be only one reseson (freedom) if it matters to you here is the front lines be a man and step up.

  • Don't waste your time (or ours) with Ayn Rand. Maybe some Orwell quotes would be more enlightening.

  • I'm not a fan of the screaming at cops. I think it's a more powerful message when protesters seem calm and level-headed, even when the cops are being pricks and arresting peaceful people.

  • A rumor that youtube bans accounts after a certain number of (-) thumbs downs. poopoowoman, can you help us out on that rumor and if true how you have evaded the kick out for so long?

  • marijuana cures cancer? wow. if he was right, dude would be a billionaire 5 or 6 times over... keep dreaming, fsp.

  • wow. thats alotta people! keep up the good work!

  • mr freedom.. you are completely right about alcohol. i couldn't agree with you more. but i certainly don't think that alcohol being legalized is a reason for pot to be. we clearly made a mistake w/ 75% of US families coping with alcohol abuse/dependence. if you want to argue pot for cancer patients, or folks with chronic pain, go to it-- it's important. if you want to argue it for yourself, i would check out the latest research on marijuana use and mental illness. it's some moving stuff.

  • The cops must protect the illuminati's personal interest and lust for greed and power which they do not know of.

  • No its not the illuminati's interest - its my interest....I don't want to bring my kids to a family event and have to deal with idiots with bullhorns pressing their agenda down my throat and then watching the backlash of stupid college kids calling the local PD pigs.

  • Doesn't it always devolve into a rant about the illumaniti and other devil worshipers of the new world order?

I don't have a problem with people who want to smoke pot in the comfort of their own home. None whatsoever.

I don't even mind the people who feel the need to smoke in public at the central square as a form of protest.

But why push it in peoples faces at a family event? That kind of arrogance is never going to persuade the general public that laws should be changed.

  • I agree fczwartek.

  • Is Alex Jones in the house?

  • another tasteless protest brought to you by the free staters. at a family day? really? marijuana has never harmed anybody? i'm a substance abuse counselor. the only reason i have work is because marijuana harms people. any idea how much money you're costing keene for being a bunch of blazing morons? i encourage you to travel to a "free state" like somalia. i hear the living conditions are the bomb.

  • The free staters aren't costing Keene taxpayers anything. It's the people working for the city of Keene that are voluntarily choosing to spend tax money that they don't have to spend. They could choose to do nothing if they wanted to.

I do think it's wrong to say marijuana has never harmed anybody; Like any physical object, marijuana can be harmful to the body if you use too much. People die from drinking too much water, anything can be harmful.

  • you think we always have that many police officers on hand? you're funny. staties, cops from out of town and the entire KPD on force at one time. you think none of that has anything to do with the fact it takes 6-8 cops just to drag one of your genius chums away from the scene?

  • More than 100,000 U.S. deaths are caused by excessive alcohol consumption each year. Direct and indirect causes of death include drunk driving, cirrhosis of the liver, falls, cancer, and stroke.

Traffic crashes are the greatest single cause of death for persons aged 633. About 45% of these fatalities are in alcohol-related crashes.

All that happens when i smoke pot is i relax and get food.

and yet alcohol is still legal hmm? that just seems so strange to me

  • Yeah yeah blah blah blah Mrfreedom420: Now go have a smoke in where it friggen matters - at a statehouse.

  • that's all that happens with you. plenty of folks smoke pot and do a whole plethora of other things. smoking pot increases fatal accidents by 50%. not to mention the second hand smoke chuck full of carcinogens you blow out into the air.

and knowing that legalizing alcohol was a total failure is actually a great reason why pot shouldn't be legalized either.

  • Pot makes you a slightly paranoid driver. You slow down, drive carefully, and you worry about getting pulled over.

Hey spelling slammer, find your mistakes.

Legalizing alcohol saved the lives of many mafia victims.

Pot should and will be legalized. It will give the cartels less to do.

  • The only reason substance abuse counselors have a job in my city is because the city and county make it mandatory for people who do a victimless crime to go to such places. If it was strickly a walk in place then 4/5ths of all substance abuses places would be shut down from lack of business.

  • "the only reason i have work is because marijuana harms people." There are no other drug addictions that add to your work load. I've never known one person that need weed counseling. That's just silly. Crack? Yes! Weed hahaha nutty!

"any idea how much money you're costing keene". I've contemplated that irony too. Obv. they feel it's worth it. How much do you cost to babysit booboo drug babies. Do you give them they're attn. ooohhh they just need a hug and a bill, huh? Nothing you do works!

  • i'm sorry, i don't understand your sentence structure or grammar in this sentence, "Do you give them they're attn", 95% of my clients started with pot. look at them now.

most of an LADC's efforts are cut short by a failing health care system. i work at an inpatient facility with 18 patients-- 3 of them have been in complete psychosis for at least three months of their lives because they smoked pot alone.

rejecting data doesn't make you right-- just ignorant.

  • OOOO! Spell slam! And form someone who doesn't use caps. If you didn't get my purport, you're not trying. Petty slam Ed the PHARMER.

Send your whiney babies back out of the street. Or better yet, give them some other scripts so they can sell that to by the real stuff.

I do not believe that weed brought anyone to psychosis. They had psychosis and treated it with weed. It probably helped their nerves.

You hurt your patients. You drug them further and you blacklist them. GET A REAL JOB!

  • If you can't express yourself clearly, who's supposed to understand you?

  • I have a dyslexic moment and you think I dropped out in the first grade. Tell you what foolman--I'd test out just fine against you or the dope slinging pharmer. Both of you understood what I said in that sentence. Why don't you stick to the issues? Is your stance too weak?

Pharmer is a parasite feeding off the problems of drug addicts and off the state. Pharmer's job is pure uselessness (Once and addict, always and addict. That's what they taught in school). Ed probably sucks at it.

  • What kind of counselor would come in here and act like that? His initial comment proves he's no humanist. I bet he treats those ppl like dirt.

I want to battle this cretin on his job purposefulness, not have a spelling bee. Is he even really a drug counselor? Where at? He has patience? Shouldn't he have clients? Patients go to doctors, not counselors. Back to Ed the Pharmer. Foolboy, you're out of your league!

  • The only thing more hilarious that coming across as completely illiterate is getting all defensive and upset when someone points it out.

    Grow up.

  • Stick to you tube polemics. This ain't grammar class. Obv. you ain't got an argument.

From this point on, I'm going to hit your every comment here, without cessation. You will never be rid of me. I'm thoroughly offended by you and I am never going to stop pestering you here at the Ridley Report. You earned it.

  • Is this where I'm supposed to give a shit? Because I don't. You are an unending source of hilarity and illiteracy.

  • Yeah yeah.

  • Not even 20 seconds into the video - this idiot announces on a bullhorn his plan to get arrested. So - he gets what he wants - and decides to chant freedom. If the cops didn't arrest him, he would have bitched about that to. When are you fools going to MAKE UP YOUR MIND

  • You fail at understanding what civil disobedience is.

  • I fail as much as these little sideshows are a success. Instead of going to pumpkinfest for what it is intended, I can see Sam, Jesse, Ian feeding their addiction to misery and getting boners hoping to bait police and then be so awestruck and amazed why in hell someone would get arrested at a family event for smoking pot. Always disobedient - hardly ever civil. Idiot.

  • Whether or not getting arrested helps their cause in any way is one thing, but you thinking that they didn't plan on getting arrested and were "awestruck" by it just shows that your stupidity is equal to or greater than theirs.

Also, calling somebody an idiot while complaining about civility is brilliant, no?

  • I admit I am not sure what is more brilliant - you coming out of nowhere saying I fail at something ...you admitting they're stupid...or my corresponding with the ilks of you. Maybe you'll get a couple of "thumbs up" though...that would be really brilliant...yay.

  • That would be brilliant, since I do measure my self worth in the amount of thumbs up I can get in any youtube comment section.

Thanks for replying to somebody like me. I'm not sure exactly what somebody like me is, but apparently you do.

  • You're welcome.

  • All these marijuana smoke-ins are giving the free state movement a bad name. First become a free state and then worry about your precious pot smoking.

  • Comment removed

  • @BloodTar... that quite the Catch-22 you pose there.

  • I'll have a ladder there , Dave

  • Cuff em and Stuff em

  • i bet theses cops would kill thier own kids

  • Free Dumb!!!!! Free to be as dumb as you want. IE: Smoke pot in public and get arrested. So did you change any laws?

Did Andrew Carroll change anything? Did Kurt and his stop sign change anything. Next thing ya know youll bring up Ghandi. Because Ghandi has a lot to do with Marijuana and stop sign laws.

  • @downlowfunk: It's about protesting bad laws!!! What is your problem with that?

  • @mismos00 YEah protesting Bad laws, but getting arrested to do it? Ive been arrested three times and I am not trying to get arrested again. The book says, the officer does.

  • @downlowfunk

Well maybe these guys should have wrote a nice polite letter.

  • Comment removed

  • i think the tide will turn soon on matters like this.

  • You dont hear the mainstream media talking about these idiots, like they covered the town hall meetings. Sorry, but I would much rather be a Republican, than let these kind of idiots run our country.

  • republican= blood thirsty brutes who enjoy caging people for victimless crimes and invading foreign countries.

voluntarists/libertarians= rejects that the initiation of violence against peaceful people is moral.

    thug.

  • Today at 4:20 i wish for a rally of the people, a support group of concerned citizens of this awful state of NH,to meet at the common in keene like we have for the last MONTH and a half. But not for the fact of getting "high"!!! Why not you ask... for the simple truth that our government has overruled it's people, AND WE ARE LETTING IT!!!

  • Yesterday at 4:20pm as seen in the video provided, I watched as one unidentified police officer pushed a man to the ground to forceibly take his possessed cigarette and few surrounding officers taunt him to get up after he smashed his face into at least 2 pumpkins!!! Not only is it this mans second faulty arrest in one month by the keene police but the fact that i watched that same cop that threw him down hit at least 2 joints and one bowl to "test" if it was marijuana!!!

    cuz i know i wont

  • HE GOT MORE HIGH THAN I DID AND THAT'S HIS JOB!!!Isn't that why he just arrested 3 man for doing the same thing???

    So... with those 3 imprisoned nonconforming citizens, the police took them straight into the keene district court;

    ON A SATURDAY!!!

    THE COURT IS CLOSED!!!

And for that reason 3 more non compliant citizens walked into this "open" public building and got arrested for it!!!

They got arrested for trying to post bail in the court like everyone else does!!!

  • Oh right - amazing how whenever the police supposedly brutalize everyone there isn't a camera working in the whole damn city. But....catch a cop burping and the cameras are rolling. You seem to be confused....its not the fucking cops retard...its your LEGISLATURE...grow some nads and do your shit where it matters...not some family event - DUH....as if you didn't know someone would get arrested using a bullhorn begging to get arrested. Idiot.

  • real united states-men. pot is for people that are sick and it should not be used as much as it is but that's no reason to punish people that chose to use it. that's like punishing someone with a broken leg, its not right.

  • what i find somewhat funny is the guy whose piussed at 2:26 whose pissed cops are arresting them for smoking marijuana. it is still against the law they will continue to have to arrest the protestors till the law is changed. I mean honestly isn't that why they where smoking the pot to begin with? as long as the cops are being respectful cursing them is really uncalled for.

  • Do these "hippy-like" protests actually work at all over there at Keene?

It sure as hell wouldn't over here in Miami. Those cops are sweethearts compared to the assholes we have here.

We need more freedom lovers getting involved in local and state gov't to change anything.

  • Hippy-like protests worked in the 60's and 70's. I haven't noticed any conscription since then! We have had a long spell of no draft. Ever happy that you've never been drafted? Thank an old Bob Dylan listening pot smoking protesting HIPPY! Those hippies were brave men and women willing to fight for The United State of America right here in The United States of America. There should be a hippy holiday honoring the blood hippies shed to save the lives of young Americans facing war.

  • EdMan2012, The event happened on a Saturday, didn't it?

  • No. They don't. If you asked 10 random people in Keene what the free state project is - they wouldn't know. If you reminded them that the little gatherings downtown is an example of the fsp - they would respond....oh those kooks.

  • I wonder if these kind of "in your face" protests are a good strategy.

On one hand it did get the libertarians a lot state and local press coverage.

But on the other hand a lot of that coverage portrayed the pot smokers in a mostly negative light- as people who not very serious, and don't really stand for much of anything other then getting high.

Party-time burnouts are not going to win many "hearts and minds" or persuade public opinion.

  • they're not hippy like. they're moronic. hippies had noble protests about bringing people home from war. these people just practice civil disobedience to get a rise out of cops and to get "kidnapped" and thrown in "cages". they've been smoking fake dope (totally brave, btw) just to piss off cops, so they're done... and frankly, i don't blame them. lameeee project, free staters. lame lame!

  • What obnoxious children.

Does anyone at the rally really think that these cops, even if they were convinced by the pro-marijuana argument, could change the law themselves? Of course they can't.

These people are just pissing off regular working Americans (keyword: WORKING).

  • I agree with you. These cops are nothing but regular run-of-the-mill sheeple. They can't do anything about drug laws. They are nobodies.

These other GREAT "nobodies" standing up for what they believe are forgetting that to get anything done, you must target the source. Protests are okay, but calling cops fascists is retarded.

    ANYONE with any REAL brains...

    organize. Work your neighborhood.

    Then, work your district.

    Then work your county.

    Work the goddamn system!

  • How are cops "sheeple"? They're doing their jobs. If they joined the protests, they'd be idiots.

  • Cops are herded like sheep to do their "job". A few of them are free thinkers and stray. Many of them have laws they oppose.

You. foolman, always confuse intelligence with decision based opinion. You can not discern between the two. That makes you stupid.

  • gov job

  • That is the crux of the struggle for police. Many laws are unjust, thus if you enforce the laws, you are some degree of unjust. It is your job to ruin lives, and often over next to nothing. Why be a cop then? It shows you either don't care about humanity (or possibly anything at all, aside from yourself), or you are willing to ruin innocent lives to enforce the few truly civil laws: laws against murder, theft, destruction of private property. The $ ain't all that. How do they get ppl to do it?

  • Many laws are unjust? In whose eyes? They're just in terms of the United States justice system. That's why they're laws.

  • Slavery was just in terms of the the US justice system too. There's a certain moral evolution that grows within humanity. Infanticide was acceptable to some ppl, at one time. The same moral evolution that steered parents into keeping their children will steer ppl away from torturing self abusers, such as drug addicts. Jail is being used as primitive means of torture. Locking someone up for weed is unjust, just as slavery was. Ppl will look back at drug punishment the same way they do slavery.

  • It is unacceptable for the USA, a supposed democracy, to have the biggest prison population in the world. Not just the biggest in terms of overall numbers, but also biggest per capita.

There is no justification for that. It's insanity.

But to equivocate it with slavery? That's a bit of a stretch. These guys who got arrested are not "slaves." Their arrest was a result of a decision they made with their own free will, not a result of being unfortunate enough to have the wrong skin color.

  • If you are insinuating that I misrepresented the words slavery or prisons, you are wrong.

What I did is demonstrate that humanity grew out of infanticide and slavery. Then I propounded that humanity will grow out of locking people up for so-called victimless crimes, in this case weed. I believe people will look back at such time served as an injustice, like we see slavery as an injustice today. We will evolve morally, further so than we already have.

  • I don't know if moral evolution has much to do with it. I think a majority of people already understand that locking people up because they smoked some pot is unnecessary (not to mention expensive and pointless.)

It's a political failure more than a moral failure. I doubt that there are more than 5 senators or representatives that would publicly stand for abolishing pot prohibition laws.

  • I've never seen numbers on what the majority of ppl think about jailing potheads. I'm thinking the numbers are a closer race than a vast majority. I might even wage the majority are against pot and want it kept illegal. But majority don't care that ppl live in cages for it. They wear a hat, go to work, come home, feed the kids...

Personally, I might rather be a slave for a period of time than live in a cell. I can't see there being much difference. Depends on the master.

  • It's a failure of the system, a failure of ppl seeing it as unjust, and a failure of the ppl who do see it as unjust to act upon how they feel. It's the mafia mentality of thrill sales and the ppl who've sold out to it, some who engender more than slight political failure. All that, and it is our present position in moral evolution. That position will change, we will look back, and we, as a society, and we will be rueful. The matter will be in history books as a mistake of ill-wrought law.

  • You're right, slavery was once just. Thankfully the US embraced human rights issues.

So are you equating pot smoking to human rights? Really?

  • Slavery was never just, idiot. Legal, yes, but eternally unjust.

  • Of course it was just, at the time. Then the North became enligthened as far as human rights were considered and collectively declared it unjust.

Just because it doesn't fit into your personal sense of justice doesn't make something unjust. We're talking about United States justice, not watcher8o justice.

  • You are an amazing relativist. If the govt says it's legal, that makes it just at that period in time?

So, the Holocaust was just, 'cause dear old Hitler made it legal to kill anyone who disagreed with the Nazi Party or was born with specific familial traits?

Your definition of justice is whacked, just like all of your arguments and opinions. You should keep them to yourself before everybody finds out how stupid and malignant you are. Leave it to a fascist to think slavery is or ever was just.

  • No, the world condemned Hitler's actions. His actions were popularly unjust.

Tell me then, is abortion just? Who gets to decide that?

  • Oh! So justice is based on one of two factors: A) Govt condoned activity, or B) Popularly condoned activity. Are you sure you aren't in the DPRK?

  • Are you really that dense?

WHO do you think defines what justice is?

  • Philosophers, people who have experienced repression and want to avoid it, intellectuals... to name a few more trusted sources than government (which has killed hundreds of millions in a century) or popularity, which elects anything from presidents to American idols. I'd go into our Republican form of govt, but it'd go over your head and you'd probably think I am referring to the modern political party. The fact remains: things that were unjust previously are still unjust, by their very nature.

  • Wow, your idiocy is astounding.

There isn't nothing natural about justice. There is nothing naturally good or evil. These are subjective terms applied by PEOPLE.

So again, WHO do you think defines what justice is? When you say this law is unjust, who says that? Obviously not everyone. I don't. It's not objectively unjust because you say so.

Time to admit that it's just your personal opinion of justice.

  • We digress...

  • Did you mean "disagree"?

  • No, I meant digress. The topic is pot and protesting. Everything from Hitler to slavery was touched upon here.

  • Just according to law.

  • Yes, but "according to the law" doesn't need to be made explicit, because the defintion of "justice" is tied directly to the law.

  • the keyword there is critical

  • Give me liberty or give me death is what comes to mind when I see this video.

  • Unfortunately you already have liberty....you're just too selfish and dumb to know it. How I wish you didn't have liberty, so we could go to that next step in the "or" process: DEATH. And as if....two piddly nobodies getting busted for a joint...big friggen deal - as if they are willing to give up their life for you. LOL

  • Loved the sign. "We are all Prisoners of the War on Drugs."

I am glad too to see some personal freedom activism. Marijuana is a very important issue that just keeps getting lip service.

I really think that both the politcos and the protesters should work together on this one. Supporting each other efforts will make you twice as strong. And protesters it won't kill you guys to vote locally.

  • Oh no what about the children, if they see someone smoking they might go to hell. Screw the people that thing they own our bodies and fuck the pigs that enforce bad laws.

  • Fascist pigs!

  • Law enforcement should protect you from aggression, not the recreational use of marijuana.

  • How about the dealers who want to sell marijuana to minors?

  • Well those precious children (minors) will be adults soon enough. On another note minors are the first to snitch. Any dealer worth his weight in product knows better than to deal with minors.

  • 1. If a child gets addicted and drops out of school, what then?

    2. What if the dealer is a child's older sibling?

  • Older Brother gives younger brother alcohol, kid loses license for being sober yet transporting alcohol under 21. What a drag.

  • How about parents who stock alcohol in the basement bar? That's where many kids start with that truly nefarious brew. Should we search every home to see which parents are drinking in privacy? What should we do to those parents? Ground them? Steal their stock? How far are you willing to go? I'm afraid to ask. England has cameras in the homes select parents. Should we go the extra length and just monitor everyone at all times?

Minors make choices. It's part of growing up.

  • Alcohol isn't illegal.

Minors don't make choices. If an older man asked a 12-year-old boy to have sex with him, that's not up to the boy to make that decision.

  • Minors drinking it is. Adults supplying it is.

Actually, it is. The guy will get arrested, the kid may get some flack out of it too, but it is the kids choice.

  • Legally it's not. The child can't defend the man in court, saying, "But I wanted to."

  • If that bystander feels so strongly about not using marijuana then all she has to do is choose for HERSELF not to smoke it.

Quite simple. No violence, no jail time, no expense and no deprivation of liberty for others required for this simple solution.

  • Glad to see more cannabis related activism.
