I have heard many stories on the crying boy painting, but I have not heard any EVPs of the actual boy itself

One of the main things that I do keep hearing is that the painting has a curse on it that causes the owners house to catch fire.

@TheDethklok101 There are many apocryphal stories surrounding this picture, and variants of it. Could a print hold such a curse? That would depend entirely on your belief of what is possible. My own particular belief is irrelevent and I shan't take up more of your time by explaining. However, there IS an EVP on THIS occasion that is seemingly connected to the print. Coincidence? I purchased a print sometime after this to see if I could replicate the experiment. To date, I have been unsuccessful.

@aimeerenee2 . You are right and I agree. There is nothing to suggest that the painting (or in this case, the print) is haunted. The family were convinced that the activity in their home was connected to it, I don't.

I suspect the same EVP would have occured had I not focused on the image.

we bought that crying boy painting two years ago it was a print not a panting it wasnt creepy but sad allmost you could see the sadness in his eyes apparently it was panted by a painter than no-one knows about in a orphaniage that burnt down apparently we didnt know what it was untill we bought it home and looked it up on the net any way we smashed it baecause i was only little and very scared of it lol but i feel sorry for him there as very sad look in his eyes

I agree, streetsofbrum1. I suspect the family placed significance on some "strange" events that took place with the painting. The EVP could have occured without any mention of the painting and may be unrelated. The fact remains however, that there IS a child's voice caught on audio that SHOULD NOT have been there. The painting, in my opinion, is incidental.

Very good question, streetsofbrum1. I'll try and provide an explanation. As i state earlier in the preamble, the FAMILY reported these strange events to me and they would NOT allow me to video in their house. All I could use was audio equipment. The EVP may have nothing whatsoever to do with the painting, I can only go off what the family cliaimed. As for any other activity in the house? None, I discovered nothing else untoward and the claims of "Strange" activity was unfounded. Thank you.

I'm 43 & my best friend's parents had this painting hanging in their lounge, we were 8yrs old at the time, it was once a very popular print. They had/have a good life & no issues from their painting although the one in this clip looks water damaged. If you really listen it sounds like 'the bitch as to die' but as we have it in our minds that it's a child's voice we don't hear 'correctly' - will we ever know? Good stuff regardless ;-)
