  • Better to collect the gas in an inverted test tube because it rises rapidly. Also to wear safety goggles if possible. However, 2M acid does not attack the hands so quickly - just rinse them if get a splash.

  • Unprotected hands? That is incredible, this stuff is terrifying, I would recommend neoprene gloves, they work really nicely. Neat reaction though.
