This movie def needs to be played by every school out there! I just watched it and it really shows how drugs are a black hole that can destroy your very being.

DiCaprio gave an emmy-worthy performance in this film as his character slowly deteriorated throughout the film! Kids and teens need to see this film and take a hard, realistic look into the world no human should enter.

I feel that this is the movie which portrays the devastating impacts of drugs most accurately.

Trainspotting is too comical at times, Requiem for a dream is too dramatic at times.

This movie gets it right though. It shows how potential and dreams can be completely dashed by drugs. It is realistic as in there is no real happy ending - all his dreams are gone and he is left with just spreading word for the future generation that drugs are bad.

Should definitely be on the school curriculum.

This trailer is very misleading...it makes the movie look inspirational and cool when really it was disturbing and heartbreaking...however it portrayed the reality of addicts quite well and the ending was fairly happy so I have no complaints :) Leonardo was fantastic in this...he needs an Oscar lol

I was on his website in June of that month (I wanted to see if he would be doing any further readings or anything for that matter and he was posting that he was writing new material and excited to be getting it out). Then I check back the website maybe Sept 20th and I saw they turned it into a memoriam page. So I searched him online and there were all these writing forums and websites paying their condolences.

@22january2008 they dont show what happens in the trailer. however, in the beginning of this trailer when it shoes leo walking down a hall dressed in all black, in the movie he is walking down the hall to his classroom where he shoots his classmates and teacher with a shotgun. that is what people are referring to, however in my opinion, anyone who does that in real life has a lot more issues than mimicing a movie
