I'm glad you think so. I have both and I think they don't come close to this. The models look good but the VC sucks and they don't work with Acceleration for crap.

@Dopey390th So just a question here but why should i spend my money on this plane when i have a perfectly fine acceleration hornet with the sludge hornet integration ,which i think looks beter than this. As far as i can see all this lets you do is put items on the wings and fuselage, things you cannot do with the stock f18.

i don't know why, but when i go to VC all the instrusments, gauges EVERYTHING turned black but the glasses can some one help?

i bought the software but on some textures the vc is black. like vmfat-101 works fine but vfa-15 and vfa-115 dont work

In the cockpit it doesn't do anything to the framerate because the Captain Sim F-18 uses the cockpit from the Microsoft Acceleration Pack. Externally, it eats a few.  I'm still pulling over 20 FPS with a 7600 GT. I'm getting ready to put in a 512mb 8600 GTS so we'll see what that does for me.

Okay sweet because i have the 757 package o BOY does it kill it. Captain sim puts a little to much detail into it i would rather it not be a frame killer. If im at about 35-45 so i dont think it would kill it.

Stay away from 8600 Cards. They are not that great. The 8600 I bought barely performed better than my 7600 GT. I have since bought an 8800 GTS - it rocks!

FSX Acceleration aircraft: F-18 Hornet; AgustaWestland EH101 helicopter; and various race versions of the P-51D mustang. It adds numerous missions such as helicopter resuce operations, you can race the Reno Air Races and Red Bull Races, and you can take-off and land your F-18 on an aircraft carrier.

The F-18 in my video is from Captain Sim. It is their add-on to the Acceleration pack. You get four liveries of the two-seat F-18D and can load weapons. You can also function things like the radome, the radar, gun loading area, etc. I will place more videos showing this soon.

I forgot, the Captain Sim add-on also has the F-117 Stealth Fighter. They didn't do the cockpit for it so the default F-18 cockpit is shown. However, the exterior model is great!!!

near the entry of the engine, on the left hand, there is a red "diffuse gleam", i suppose it's the navigation lights. for example, at 23, 31, 35 or 1.39 second in your film, the postcombustion is lit and this gleam goes away. I think, it's a bug from CS or Acceleration.

I looked at it in the game and it is a NAV light. In game the Afterburner (postcombustion?) doesn't seem to effect it. But I do see what you mean now.
