  • dela! stop distracting me i gotta get my work done.

  • DELA = One Of Hip Hop's Greatest Producer! His Quality Of Work Is Amazing! All I Can Say Is Keep Up The Good Work!

  • pretty much the same as the Dilla beat

  • can anyone help me out? the horns from 2:00 to the end of this song sound so familiar but i cant put my finger on it

  • @DaKrunkNinja Yeah the horn sample is taken from Cedar Walton's song "Another star" taken from the "Animation" album a jazz funk record. It sounds different and faster but the horns are slowed down drastically.

  • @KIDSOUL777 the sample is colorado trail by david grusin

  • @JLION78 yeah the entire song sample of "the bullsh*t" is dave grusin's colorado trail but the "horns" specifically from 2:00 to the end of the track is from Cedar Walton's Another Star. In which Dakrunkninja asked for...

The song "how to fish" on Dela's atmosphere airlines album uses the Cedar walton sample. At the end of this posted song it overlaps thus getting the horns at the end. You get it?

  • @KIDSOUL777 oh okay i see thanks alot bro didnt peep it ive only heard dilla sample it on dreamy didnt listen to this all the way though!

  • @DaKrunkNinja Many beatmakers may have used those horns but its originally from this record which is hard to find if ya got it like me.

  • No words can explain this song. Only your mind because it says what you really are inside your self, and fuck what anyone says. Always love the type of music you feel at heart.

  • tight....

  • What Genre is this?

  • this beat is one of the best...FACE IT

  • J dilla was an influence on a whole bunch of people, people I never even heard of and i see interviews and all i hear "Man, J dilla was an amazing man one of the best producers out there" Now that was a talented guy. Its just sad he's dead I would love to seen him put all these sorry ass rappers/producers in a coma. These bitches wouldnt know hip-hop if they had a dictionary in front of them!

  • @LexyA yo dude ive jus got into illa j hence i got this song on youtube but is this dela sampleing the track or did he come out wit it first cause this shit sounds like j dilla all the way...peace

  • love the whole album...you should upload "sidewalks" i can't find it anywhere on youtube, well that'd be supa cool anyway :)

  • i can listen to this forever this is the shit

  • I love how at the end, "How to fish" starts playing with the music. This is an amazing song, second only to "Tomorrow isn't promised".

  • Fair doos this guy knows what he's doing is he related to dilla in any way ?

  • @OplzITSCreez it's not related to Dilla, they both just used the same sample.

  • sounds juss like dftf by illa j...all producers like dela were influenced by j dilla ofcourse...R.I.P Dilla, my favorite producer u always will be

  • dope as hell but no way Dilla level, heaven.

  • who did this 1st illa j or dela?

  • Dilla of course

  • you dumbass illa j and jdilla are two different people

  • haha you funny dude, think you gon' teach me sumthin? Dilla made the beat, it means the same damn thang. his brother wouldn't even have thought of a "Yancey brothers" when Jay dee did the beat

  • dilla produced that album for his brother way before he passed

    you dumbass.

  • I think the drum pattern is from Donald Byrd and the Blackbyrds "Dreaming About You". This song is real relaxin'. I gotta buy this album!!!

  • yea it actually reminds me of dilla

  • the drums in this joint! man man man...loving it

  • illa j - dftf

    Hip-hop Eternalist.

  • what is downtempo anyway?

  • I LOVE THIS SONG. IT'S SO GOOD.

  • this guy under me. . needs to live under a rock.

  • what did he say?

  • you're right ... vocal sample doesn't blend, and they coulda used a a filter or something

but that sample is tight, the beat is nice too

  • i think even though the vocal sample doesnt blend perfectly, thats what gives the song its character

  • I really don't know which version I like more, this or Dilla's. Both are too dope!!

  • dang man....im blown away.....this is incredible stuff

  • AMAZING SONG!
