well the rs (1440X900) actuallt affects the graphics alot even if you dont thisnk so, so lower that and what kind of graphic card do you have? that could be the problem.

Upgrade to vista. I know vista is going to consume a gig of ram but at least then you can use the other 7 on the game. Then once windows 7 comes out, upgrade to that.

@LCaaroe I guess that the game really IS this shallow: Virtually smashing your opponent to pieces with nice animations and epic music seems to be pretty much the only point this trailer makes. So I guess that is what the game is about, as well.

Hey all, just bought and played the Demigod, Here's how I see it.
-Heroes and Heroines: Only 8 compared to the 50 or so in Dota, but when you look it, most of the characters in Dota are alike,, whereas the characters Demigod here are unique.
-The controls were, in my opinion, kind of clunky. Sometimes telling my demigod to attack-move will have him walk right through his foes without attacking.
-The artwork is really beautiful. Loved the different arenas fought in.

Just got this game today, it's pretty good. Good graphics, good gameplay, it's not really a role-player, or shooter.. It's like Command and Conquer, by the way, The Rook and Unclean Beast are the best XD.
You guys should look into league of legends. Currently they are in closed beta. They are getting very good press on gameplay which is what really matters.
I tried the game yesterday and was really disappointed. The heroes feel like an almost complete ripoff of some of the DotA heroes. The game eats up way too many resources despite it's basic mechanics, probably with useless eye candy, to the point that when too much units are present on screen the fps drop brutally to the point where it's almost unplayable. The only good point are the multiple scenarios but still I didn't find them interesting and different enough. Back to ol' DotA for me.
No, the game sux... there are far more complex games that run just smoothly on my computer. It's all a matter of coding in the end. Do you think this crap will ever get as popular and competitive as DotA? Not in a million fuckin' years, no matter how much eye candy they'd inject into it.

How intelligent of you. Just because this game has you controlling a single unit that levels up in real-time combat doesn't make it DotA. Sure, they play a bit similar, but the game mechanics are very different. Play DotA, then play this, and tell me it "wants to be like DotA."

My bro got the Game its fun,i play the best With Oak and ima start playing the A.I. in nightmare when i get the chance its pretty fun not sure about online wut i do kno is that someone gave it a 6 outa 10 cuz the online takes for ever to get into a game with players hopefully when the problem is fixed the game will be more enjoyable :P.

the fog of war in this game is horrible. Just white shit everywhere. Warcraft has a better fog system. Prefer dota.

It does look like the trailer when on on maximum settings. The problem is, it doesn't run well even on high end systems, in many cases.

Hey all, just bought and played the Demigod, Here's how I see it.
-Heroes and Heroines: Only 8 compared to the 50 or so in Dota, but when you look it, most of the characters in Dota are alike,, whereas the characters Demigod here are unique.
-The controls were, in my opinion, kind of clunky. Sometimes telling my demigod to attack-move will have him walk right through his foes without attacking.
-The artwork is really beautiful. Loved the different arenas fought in.

Just got this game today, it's pretty good. Good graphics, good gameplay, it's not really a role-player, or shooter.. It's like Command and Conquer, by the way, The Rook and Unclean Beast are the best XD.

Demigod compared to DotA (for those who want to know):
- Farming system/gaining gold is totally different
- Very slow paced (no ganking and team battles last way longer)
- Very limited strategies compared to DotA (less heros and less map tatics)
- Demigod uses capture the flag idea to gain massive experience
- Demigod uses perma items that can be carried into any games (like battlefield)
- Demigod does not use the same laning tatics as DotA

I tried the game yesterday and was really disappointed. The heroes feel like an almost complete ripoff of some of the DotA heroes. The game eats up way too many resources despite it's basic mechanics, probably with useless eye candy, to the point that when too much units are present on screen the fps drop brutally to the point where it's almost unplayable. The only good point are the multiple scenarios but still I didn't find them interesting and different enough. Back to ol' DotA for me.

ok dota has the same goal but demigod has much better graphics then dota and i think the gameplay is a bit better because of the real different characters (love the rock it rocks !)
But if you get no Pc to play better games than dota ok than I understand you

How intelligent of you. Just because this game has you controlling a single unit that levels up in real-time combat doesn't make it DotA. Sure, they play a bit similar, but the game mechanics are very different. Play DotA, then play this, and tell me it "wants to be like DotA."
So, does every FPS game want to be like Doom? Does every strategy game "want to be like Command & Conquer? Of course not.
