  • I sure hope there's winners like these on Boston's up and coming album. Hopefully they've also gone back to their old equipment instead of using Rockman; this sounds so much better.

  • Brad had one of the best mustaches in rock n roll. RIP Brad, one of my most favorite vocalists of all time. That guy sure had an amazing voice.

  • What a shame that Brad is gone he was one of the best singers I have ever heard seen them in 06 in Manchester Nh with my wife got to meet him after the show truley THE NICEST GUY IN ROCK N ROLL!!!

  • God i miss Brad, the day he died i visited their website to be completely sure and when i saw that statement i broke down knowing that their will never be a singer as beautifully gifted as he is. miss you forever brad, keep on rocking away...

  • RIP Brad! One of the greatest vocalists of all time!!! What HELL it must have been on Brad to be in a band with Tom Scholz who sued any and everyone who had anything to do with Boston. HOW PATHETIC!!!

  • This song brings tears to my eyes. I was 14 in1976, and grew up with Boston. If Brad only knew how beloved he was to the rest of the world, maybe he would still be with us.

  • Brads Final Song?

  • he just seems so happy in this song it all doesnt make sense

  • This is an amazing recording of one of rocks smoothest rock singers and underrated guitarists..Barry Goudreau..thank you Barry for recording this gem giving us one last chance to witness the power and range of Bradley's amazing voice...sorry Tom but Barry and Brad were keeping the sound alive..imagine how much better Walk on wouldve been with Brad!! This song rules..RIP Bradley!!

  • We will always love and miss you, Brad.

  • Brad was one of my Biggest influences and he will be missed. I wish that Tom Scholz wasn't such an @ss because i feel Brad would still be here. I also Feel for the other original members of Boston because of what Tom has done. The Current Boston lineup is a joke.

  • I love the fact that you posted this song. Brad Delp was one of the most amazing lead vocalist in the world. In fact in a top male vocalist category i would have a hard time choosing what order to place him or the others. But i will say that Brad Delp, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Freddy Mercury, Ronnie James Dio, Geoff Tate, Milijenko Matijevic, Fran Cosmos, Sebastian Bach....................

  • Miss you Brad

  • I'd like to point out first of all that I love Boston, Brad Delp, and this song. I would also like to point out that this man committed suicide and to this day we still don't know why. Why would he just express his love for all his fans in this wonderful song and then light some grills in his bathroom and end it? RIP Brad

  • What a timeless voice. . And by all accounts a really great guy.The killer guitars don't hurt either . I could just cry. I'll mourn his passing until I die.

  • wow.............gives me the chillz. i was born in Boston, I love that town and I love this. thanx for posting. Brad Delp........Miss U

  • I hate how Freddie Mercury and Steve Perry get all the credit. They were just more mainstream. Brad is the best

  • @StephenHardyMusic so under ratted.

  • hands down one of the greatest voices in rock n' roll history.

  • I first started listening to Boston when I was 16. They're still my favorite rock band three years later. Brad Delp could sing like nobody else. It's a shame he's not around. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

  • Love this song, so sad that we lost such great talent...such a beautiful voice. Keep Rockin' Away Brad, :)

  • Thank you Brad for giving us great music and may you rest in peace!Thank you and GOD BLESS YOU !

  • excellent video... thanx thejack ... unbelieavable but it's the first time that i listen to a post 70s boston song... and really , i'm surprised, they still sound very good and inspired, it sounds like back in the old days... "comeback" for classic rock bands are not always that good (the last foreigner is a bit too commercial with a too clean production) ... Queen return was v.good and Boston is in that league... RIP for Brad Delp ...the present and future became a real challenge 4 Boston

  • @BohemianConspiracy this song is actually not by Boston, but rather brad and barry's solo efforts. you can tell the guitar is an SG and not a les paul

  • wow what a great song

  • Ohnoes! We have a disgruntled woman of color out here in you-tube-land! (mswalker07) She’s complaining about everything, she doesn’t like headRAGS! :-O Hmm maybe > mswalker07 is the perp! (smooth face)

  • Incredible song (and video, thanks for compiling all the clips) -- I'm so angry and sad that Delp met the end that he did. Who knows what he was going through mentally, emotionally--all I know is that I will never get to see the greatest rock singer of all time perform live ever, and I feel robbed by that. RIP Brad.

  • @jo4nny

See, it's probably people that think like that. Sounds like your treating him more as an object rather than a person.

  • @Neodynamics I'm sorry, I can see how my comment would sound selfish. Brad, the person, will be sorely missed by everyone who has heard his music. I should say I feel robbed by the DEPRESSION that drove him to suicide, not robbed by Brad -- who obviously doesn't owe me, or anyone, anything.

  • @jo4nny

Just feel honored that you even had the privilage of hearing him, whether it's a recording or not. Feel privilaged that you could hear his beautiful voice, and that it could touch you, or give you that much enjoyment. Not everyone can say that.

  • R.I.P. Brad..........hope you found peace at last.

  • Okay. The guy had a great voice and played in one of the best bands of all times, but he took his own life. Along term solution to a short term problem, and weak.

  • Yea I'm 16 and feel the same way I play guitar and I think Boston is my biggest influence and I like to sing but I wish had half the range and half the talent brad had I think one of the most underrated sings ever

  • Boston has been my favorite band for a long time, I'm 17 and i've never been so inspired by the fantastic talents the band had. I was heartbroken when i was researching the band and found Brad had past... You rocked, man. Your voice will shout on forever as one of the best vocalists ever.

  • he was the best . there will be know one like him. he also could play the guitar just as good as tom shultz. u will be missed. from a true fan of the band (boston).

  • Grande work, thejackmonkeycrew44!! I Love this song!!! Brad Delp's legacy stands strong with this as his last song!

  • Brad and Barry did this song hoping that a reunification with Tom Scholz and the rest of the Boston crew would happen. Didn't work.

  • i was soo upset when i heard about brad delps death back in 2007.i was hoping to see boston perform one day.the nicest guy in rock rest in peace

  • Opie and Anthony radio show played this today on their radio show XM 202/Sirius 197. It's a good song, I like it. When was this recorded?

  • @F250Dude In 2007 I believe.

  • @thejackmonkeycrew44

On March 19, 2007, Barry Goudreau released one final song with Delp on vocals titled "Rockin' Away". Recorded in the summer of 2006, it is an autobiography of Delp's music career. The song was a minor hit in early 2008, charting up to #18 on the America's Music ranking of rock radio airplay.

    Wikipedia, lol.

  • @F250Dude 06

  • @F250Dude it was recorder in the summer of 2006

  • This was Brads last recorded song with Barrey R.I.P. Brad Delp

  • A Special Thank You to Barry Goudreau for releasing this track. All Of us fans Very Much Appreciate It. This is a great great song to remember Brad. Thank you so much... We love this song!

  • why did he have access to a charcoal grill? I just don't understand why he took his own life, especially in the manner that he did.

  • well the way that he did is the most peaceful way to go

  • Man, i started listening to Boston in a very young age and they still gives me a great feeling whenever i hear them. Thank to my dad and his Lp of the first Boston record i love this band today. A real shame it ended for Delp the way it did. Hate it. But he still lives. In the albums. Great tribute video! Thanks

  • Brad had a voice of rare beauty and power. His union with the brilliant Tom Scholz was one of rock and roll's great collaborations. Boston gave us so many legendary songs. Losing Brad was a terrible blow to music, but we shall hold him forever in our hearts!

  • One of the greatest lead singers of all time. Rock in peace Mr. Delp!!!!

  • My Father Introduced Me To Boston When I Was Like 10 Years Old And I Have Been Rocking Away With Them Ever Since....20 years now this music is timeless and if your from massachsetts you gotta love them!!!Long Live Boston And R.I.P. Brad Delp!!!!!

  • this is a great song

  • Brad had the best voice in all of rock and roll. Boston was the best true Rock and Roll band of all time....ROCK ON...

    Darryl Kingston ma

  • you truely are a good fan for making this tribute video, thank you!

  • With out a doubt, Brad was and always will be the voice of Boston....You can still hear it here in his singing! Thank you for posting this tribute video in Brad's memory.

    Peace from Iowa.....Jim~

  • no better band in Rock and Roll, changed my life forever, I had the pleasure of meeting Brad for a brief moment in my youth, Ill never forget the talent, what a shame,

  • Its Brads voice that makes people happy! There is nothing or nobody to compare..... :)

  • Brad had a set of pipes like no one else...and he was "the nicest guy in rock and roll."

  • thank you so much for uploading this!

  • This just isn't anywhere near as depressing as Corporate America... I love it so much... I got chills when I heard this song, it hasn't happened in a long time.

Damn, something about this music, I don't know if it's Brad's vocals, or just Boston in general that makes me so freaking happy. I don't know, but I love them so much.

  • @Neodynamics the feeling is universal, man

  • This is an excellent representation of Brad Delp's vocal talent. Goudreau mixed this song to let Brad's vocals stand out. I was disappointed with Scholz later arrangements with Brad that muddled his vocals. This truly highlights Brads talent and I wish there could have been more. Ah well. Ces't la vie.

  • Kinda reminds me of Jeff Healey in the eyes @42-49 (really). Talent that noone can EVER duplicate.

  • MY GOD THAT MAN COULD SING!!!!!

  • My view, the best. The Golden Voice.

  • anyone else notice the pic at 0:42 he looks exactly like Mick Foley the wrestler lol just an observation

  • So handsome!

  • now just convince my girlfriend that. Lord knows I've tried.

  • I'm pretty sure this is the last song Brad Delp recorded?

  • yes

  • This song is way too good to have Scholz in it!! Sounds the old Boston without all the studio effects Tom insisted on that absolutley ruined Boston natural sound

  • Boston without Scholz? What the crap are you talking about?

  • I agree, platecrumb. Tom did a TON for Boston, but at the same time he turned the band into rocket science instead of music...late boston sucked fat weiner.

  • i fucking love Brad Delp! He was such an amazing singer, and a hometown hero!

  • wait..so is this song Boston or what?

  • If I'm correct, it was recorded by Brad Delp and Barry Goudreau, and wasn't released as a single for Boston. It was released as one of Barrys solo project songs with Delp on Vocals.

  • they make great music together.

  • That's correct

  • @TheChristianDefender Barry Goudreau was the original Lead guitarist on the first 2 albums and this song is very telling to the extent of his input in the band. This song was recorded because they wanted to release it as a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the debut album. Tom Scholz refused to release it as Boston or reunite the original band. Barry Goudreau was Brad's Brother-in-Law, and I'm sure it was a horrible situation for Brad...Brad killed himself shortly thereafter.

  • @BrianMorrison71 To correct myself, I think it was for the 30th anniversary...

  • What a waste..... such a loss...... Brad, you were the greatest.

You were loved and you will be missed.

    Rock in Peace Brother....

  • Love the references to Boston songs, Hitched a ride with a rock and roll band. made a demo it was More Than A Feeling

  • RIP Brad your my inspirition to keep playing Love Ya man

  • brad is so missed. he doesn't hit a real high note in this song but his clarity and mid range is one of a kind. he had a golden voice.

  • brad is my cousin :} i found that at we i was little :[) not lieng ^.^

  • It is very sad that Brad took his life. Saw him with Beatlejuice mere months before. The show was excellent and Brad was really cool towards us, even after our drunken singing along. This song is so good, I get emotional listening to that amazing voice singing such cool lyrics. When I listen to old rock songs from Boston such as "Smokin" or "More Than a Feeling" Bradley's voice sounds like summer! (hope that makes sense)

  • Brad Delps voice is a golden miracle. His work with Boston is some of the most important rock singing ever recorded. Like so many brilliant artists, he suffered from depression because he felt everything so deeply. The strength those feelings helped make his singing an inspiration to millions. Brad Delp was too sensitive to exist in such an empty and ugly world.

  • Bradley ruled!! What a loss!!! This song is amazing what a fitting swan song to one of the true gentleman of rock and roll!!! Sorry that Tom Sholz had to be such a prick with Barry!! Brad held allegiences to both Tom and Barry!! One band i regret never seeing!!! RIP Bradley!!!

  • Can at least somebody post something about BRAD, not a bunch of philosophical bullshit?

  • i agree with you

why the hell do people do this all the time?

    it's stupid

this is a tribute, not a philosophical debate

  • All one needs to do is read the news each day. And see something like a 5 year old girl on her Birthday...getting decapitated by her Brother, to see the truth.

We are alone and responsible for our own actions on this planet. Religion has been a crutch for far too long. And far too many have died from all this illogical superstition. Time to grow up and be honorable and morale because it is the right thing to do, not a fear of buring in hell.

  • Fear of mortality and their own eventual deaths..makes them become delusional.

Thinking you deserve more then we have all been given here on this planet,is the height of greed, vanity and entitlement.

    Sorry.

  • That has absolutely no connection to this video that I can discern.

  • Brad Delp was an unparralleled musician... and this song is an excellent tribute to his life work. RIP, Brad, and here's hoping the best for you.

  • Everytime a religious nut (this means anyone who follows a religion, period) opens their mouth about hell and suicide and how jesus saves, I can't help but sit back and smile, wishing I could pat them on their little heads like I do my kids when they tell me how cool Santa is.

  • Mr. Delp rock it up there in heaven! we'll all miss you. R.I.P.

  • he died a "lonely soul" dont think he's in heaven.

  • You're a hot mess or religious bluster and frightening ignorance heavenboundsaint. Enjoy your ignorance. There is no heaven, there is no hell. You are wasting your entire life believing in an invisible man in the sky.

  • You are wrong as Brad was wrong... he is hating himself for sure now!

    enjoy the flames

  • You're an idiot.

  • why because I know the truth?

  • No...because you THINK you know the truth. Just like Muslims, Jews, Scientologists, Satanists,Jevohah's Witnesses, Mormons, Flying Spaghetti Monsterists, Wiccans, Protestants...the endless list goes on. You morons all think you know "the truth".

  • so you can prove that God, heaven and hell does not exist?

I mean the bible says Hell (not the lake of fire/outer darkness) but hell is "down there" in the earth. Could men have known there was fire in the center of the earth back then?? How do you know the souls of lost men are not imprisoned in the center of the earth awaiting the judgment??? The bible also says that after they stand before God, they are cast out into outer darkness..kinda sounds like a black hole huh?

  • LOL! I don't HAVE to prove God or hell doesn't exist. Are you really this dense?? In this Information Age it would be wise to educate yourself - it's clear whoever tried in the past failed misreably.

  • never seen evidence to prove the bible wrong.. neither have you

  • Showing your lack of education again. I don't HAVE to prove the bible wrong. You really don't get it do you? lol! And you avoid my answers anyway. You THINK you know the truth. Just like Muslims, Jews, Scientologists, Satanists,Jevohah's Witnesses, Mormons, Flying Spaghetti Monsterists, Wiccans, Protestants...the endless list goes on. You morons all think you know "the truth".

  • @heavenboundsaint -I've never seen evidence to prove it right.

  • Rock on back here, Mr. Delp! You'll always be welcome!

  • great song to go out on, maybe he killed himself soon after doing this because he felt complete, or maybe for something else, guess we'll never know

  • yes we will know.. it doesnt end with the grave!

there is a judgment day coming and either he accepted Christ as his savior or he rejected Him.

There is nothing going to be hid.

  • I don't think that anyone will or should know, I know I don't want to...

  • believe it, we will know.

  • Dude, Delp's gone, it was a bad thing and no one will ever know what or why he was thinking what he did when this happened...

    Also, Jesus Christ never existed...

    Religion lies to its followers...

  • I got a good idea for 'ya. I will buy you a one-way ticket to the Middle East, you are free to go.

Your negativity thoroughly disgusts me on this page, dude.

  • One man's logic and reason is another man's negativity(faity tale), but the middle east still has religion as I have none, there is no PLACE for me except where I am...

  • Empty mother fucker.

  • WTF?!?

  • Thanks for posting. Great Job!

  • boston is incredible.

  • This is an awsome , just awsome tribute to Brad, Boston is just one of the bands that All of us New Englander's , Will always love , and we will always miss Brad! Wish I still lived in Mass, but will Never foreget it!!

  • Awesome job bro. Thanks
