i recently re-watched TNG and saw all those guys wearing skirts, and thought, what the hell?! Wikipedia says its an homage to the original series. i have also read, when i researched it, that in the future everyone is equal, so guys wear dresses, because there is no difference between sexes. if you notice, the chicks wearing skirts have higher boots, while the men have ankle height. think this only lasted the first season. didn't even notice it when i was a kid. wish i could find that link.
