Thre's a solar cycle, but now temperature has significantly broken away from the solar cycle. CO2 has a complex cycle, but burning fossil fuel pushes it into the atmosphere. CO2 is like chocolate- bad if there is too much of it. There is too much CO2 for the trees we have to absorb, especially since we're cuting down more trees then we plant. Misleading. Only CO2 and water vapour have significant infrared trapping abilities out of that lot. Water vapour follows temperature. Thre's a solar cycle, but now temperature has significantly broken away from the solar cycle. CO2 has a complex cycle, but burning fossil fuel pushes it into the atmosphere. If you put something in a place, there will be more of that stuff in the place. Get it?

CO2 is like chocolate- bad if there is too much of it. There is too much CO2 for the trees we have to absorb, especially since we're cuting down more trees then we plant. The rest of the CO2 creates a Greenhouse Gas effect (traps heat), which heats up the planet, which means that I will eventually flood low lying areas due to rising H2O levels.

What's the carbon footprint for production and distribution of this artificial tree? When would it, break even. (Remove the CO2 related to its construction and deployment.) Assuredly it wouldn't remove other chemicals associated with its production, interesting though, perhaps a terraforming application.

1.) Palin loves gas pipelines because the entire state of Alaska depends on them for jobs and income. You would rather they lose their jobs?
2.) The Polar Bear is no longer endangered. Their populations have exploded in recent years. This is a proven fact.
3.) The bear skin on her couch was harvested by her father, not her.
4.) The aerial shooting of animals serves the purpose of thinning a population of predators. Without it, many would suffer starvation.

Zaproot, you really screwed this one up. I agree with most of your points, but you're wrong to criticize Palin for hunting. Humanity has changed North America's ecosystems so much that hunting is a necessary part of proper wildlife management. I'd personally feel better about eating meat that I killed myself than about buying it at the grocery store like some kind of vegetable and letting someone else do my dirty work for me. If you're going to criticize hunters, take a look at farmers first.

You are aware what happens to an ecosystem if hunting does not happen annually to keep herds in check, right?
Without natural hunters to keep the population down, they would consume all of the grazing flora, making not only their own specie ecologically unviable in that area, but any other species that have those plants in their food-chain as well.

Oh you are so full of crap.. Newsflash : there are OTHER CARNIVOROUS SPECIES OTHER THAN HUMANS. Also : unlike humans, animals generally stop consuming a resource when they have had enough. That's why the flora bounces back - and another thing you obviously didn't learn in sixth grade is many species of flora have evolved specifically to be EATEN. The animals crap their seeds out and spread the plant far and wide.
I suspect you are still IN sixth grade, since you seemed to have failed logic.

The reason why humans do this (and the species -won't- bounce back) is because we use fire arms and we have no natural predators. Depends on what you're hunting.
And it's not so much that they're criticizing Palin for hunting, but that they're adding it on to one of the many things she also supports. Hunting isn't against the environment but most if not all of the other things she promises to do are against the environment and will have some seriously negative effects in the future. Supporting hunting on a national scale is a bad idea becuase the only reason it's okay is because it's controlled; it won't be if she wins.

The 1% that you speak of is a major transit route for migratory species of many kinds - including Palin's beloved bears. The amount of land is not the problem, it's where that land is. Also - spend about half a day doing some research on Oil resources. If ANWR were opened up, even when its oil came online in ten years or so, it would still only add a couple million barrels a day. It's not worth it (except if you're an oil baron).

No, you're just a bloke who missed the point of the video. Hunting in of itself is not a bad thing, however, the fact that Palin supports it so much will likely raise the hunting rate to a rate that is beyond an acceptable amount. This means cuts in animal populations, natural habitats, and declines in ecosystems. They aren't criticizing hunting as an activity, but are more telling us that if Palin (McCain) wins, hunting rates will elevate beyond control (among republican voters anyway).
