  • What a collection. And they are in mint condition too. Even the sleeves they came in are in great shape...wow!!!

  • Those James Brown comps "singles collections" compiled by year are well worth getting, all tracks have the full extended parts complete with alternate versions where available, not to mention the three volumes of JBs "funky People" & the double CD of JB tracks "Funky Goodtime" Anthology are well worth getting.

Out of the many JB comps that compile the same old tracks those listed above are the best.

  • I asked for/got Funky Good Time Anthology for my birthday recently even though I had half the tracks already. Great liner notes and funky packaging too.

  • "This is a Man's World," is my favorite James Brown track ever. Just sayin. Yo Funk, I have two CD's I am sending you soon. One, Maka

  • Yo Jamie, was that Escape-ism track sampled in the Pete Rock & CL Smooth track titled Escape? I saw that 45 and instantly thought of Talib talking about it in the intro to Fly Till I Die.

  • that rocky soundtrack is my shit!!

  • Is that one record RARER than most since it has the wrong label on one side? just wondering. James Brown... mmm mmmm funk! thanks

  • I don't think it was printed wrong, I just just don't understand why they re-titled it.

  • Hey funk I saw a new commercial for COP OUT with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, they used BDP sample "That's the sound of the police, woop woop" .... yayyyyyyyyyy

  • das wassup

  • i just went and watched it and now im just like you...yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay haha

  • More love from Canada. Greatly enjoyed.

Just wondering have you heard of the Canadian Hip Hop artist Sean Boothe? (I see one of his videos in the side bar). But he took Nas's Unauthorize Biography of Rakim idea and has decided to turn it into a 12 part series (he's on part 7 right now).

But his first one was James Brown. (followed by Bob Marley, Muhammad Ali, MLK/Obama, Jimi Hendrix and Puff). All dope and definitely worth a listen.

  • the godfather put out an impressive body of work for sure no collection is complete without him. That vinyl sounds great and keep 'em coming!! The Boss!!!
