Not at all seem to GoW. Heavenly Sword attacks are more acrobatic. In GoW are more than brute force. Only seem to be the same genre, but nothing more. The movements are more like Prince of Persia.

True, I guess you could say it's "acrobatic"... but consider this... Nariko CANNOT JUMP! She has aereal combos, but no jumping function...

The player has little control over her movements compared to God of war, Devil may cry, ninja gaiden, dante's inferno... you get the drift.

As a matter of fact, I traded this game in at gamestop and got the Conan game. It's lower budget, but you know what? At least you can jump in that game!

It's not a matter of realisim. If I cared about a real game or realistic gameplay, I'd play splinter cell or some other game where you're killed almost instantly.

I'm just saying that my personal preference for a hack and slash is to have a greater range of mobility, and mobility includes jumping. After all, remember those QTEs when Nariko grappling and jumping up and off the castle walls? She can jump in those instances, but not in combat??

Heavenly Sword is a hack'n'slash game, just like God of War. GOW brought the genre to a whole nother level with extreme gore and cinematic gameplay, but that doesnt make every hack'n'slash posterior to that a clone.
