  • Love the hell outta Bright Chimezie. What a happy go lucky type dude. Damn, it's really scary to take a pause and realize how extinct stuff like his has become. Still with ppl like codewit the saga never dies. Carry on tradition.........

  • Bright Chimezie is still alive and kicking. He has no time frame in wikipedia

    Bright Chimezie

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Jump to: navigation, search

Bright Chimezie (born 10 January 1960), also known as Okoro Junior, is an Nigerian Igbo highlife musician originally from Ekeoba, Ohuhu, Umuahia, Abia State of Nigeria. His type of music, popularly known as zzigima, became widely available in Nigeria from the early 80s.

  • @Michaelosinachi ......i love bright chimezie...up naija

  • Wait a minute, it was Dr Sir Warrior that was peddling drug to china and was caught and given an option of either jail or an injection. He opted for the latter and was never the same again. I would know, because he is from my compound in Enyiogugu, Imo State

  • @Michaelosinachi@ your assertions are false. China does not inject drug peddlers...you will be executed in a Chinese prison...China will never inject a person and set them on their way...In-fact, no country in the world does that. You are privy to the internet, do your research...I have been to China tons.

  • priceless!

  • i tell them say no n b sucide na chop i dey chop AFRIKAN WAKIS???Ii cant stop laffing!!!!lolllllllllllllll LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great post

  • he is not dead i saw him on my last trip to naija he is very much alive

  • Oh, I didn't know he's still alive, some guy posted on here that he was caught up on some drug scandals and was killed, I don't know how credible that info was. But thanks for the update though.

  • Bright Chimezie from all indications is not dead. Maybe you are talking of Sir Warrior of Oriental Brothers.

  • Bros, why u go carry drugs? I am feeling bad now

  • drugs??who???pla feel me in i never heard such

  • i think you got the wrong guy. he didnt carry drugs

  • Comment removed

  • It's very fortunate that we have Bright Chimezie as a bridge between old highlife-ikworikwo music and the present. There is so much vigour to his music and even much more foresight and sophistication of form, considering that he's been in the profession now for several decades. His real contemporaries are long since gone from the scene, but "Okoro Boy" is so evergreen! Please post his 1986 song with the refrain "Okoro yeah, okoro", if anyone has it. This is fine music!

  • Bobo mi,Dis na de Jam..I've been looking for this Jam..Nice ..Really enjoyed watching the video..Is this an Original composition? Sounds off the Hook !!!

    Thanks a million!!!

  • I had never heard of this song until now; when was it made? His story is very comical and I have laughed myself to fatigue.

He is old school-- he used middle-aged dancing buxom babes, instead of the anorexic eyesores of these days. His music sounds Congolese, so do: his dancing, his stature, and his mannerism. Are those musicians Congolese?

This is a great music, a great talent, and a very captivating performance in all. Is this fellow still making music?

  • God bless u my brother for this home reminder!!. Most times in this western world while struggling to establish a reasonable and acceptable identity, one tend to forget the Good Old days. I just remembered running around the house and playing all the little pranks boys play those days while Bright's beautiful music played in background from daddy's radio set tuned to the then ABS Radio 2 Onitsha. Loved it!!! Keep it coming.
