Great game this; I still have my GBA and copy of this game. I always preffered playing this with the cockpit view; you just had to be careful not to crash to much or the window screen got damaged and you could not see where you where going.
@cosmic25sheep I prefer cockpit view myself, but am not good enough to avoid crashing. Those cracks in the window leave it unplayable, so I tend to stay on external view.
Yeah, it's true. I just tend to include anything that isn't being produced anymore. Same as the Dreamcast. It's considered retro by a lot of people, but it's the same generation as PS2, which is still made.
Still, GBA was the only system I could do videos for at the hour that I recorded this one.
Everyone else was in bed, so I couldn't go into the games room and hook up my Beeb or whatever, coz it'd be too noisy.
How's the screen holding up? Scratched much? And how big is your pocket?
The thing is, yeah, you can take your PSP walkabout with you, but there's no hiding the fact that it's a big (not to mention expensive) thing in your pocket.
I keep a GBA Micro and a couple of compilation carts in my jacket pocket everywhere I go, and it's so small, unless I actually think about it, I'm generally unaware that it's there at all.
Great GBA video, got the origional v rally on N64, good game. I'd prsonally recommend a GBA SP over a micro, as tthe micro isn't backwards compatible with earlier GB games
In my opinion, nothing beats the original GBA. While I wouldn't recommend it over the SP or Micro (they have backlights, after all), I find the SP very uncomfortable to hold, and find it's buttons to be very clicky and cell-phone like; they're quite unsatisfying to push.
Hmm. I always hated the original GBA. I never bought one when they were the only option, coz whenever I looked at them in the shops, I couldn't see a thing on the screen.
So yeah, it's definitely the most comfortable, but unless you have bright sunlight, I find them completely unplayable.
The SP is definitely a better all rounder, but in terms of portability, for just sticking in your pocket when out and about, the micro wins hands down.
The micro also has the brighter screen, which you really do need for this particular game.
Those floaty hands are kinda funky. I didn't notice them while I was playing it, but then chuckled when I spotted them, while looking back at the video footage.
Brilliant. I'm going to have some more games for my GBA.

This is the game that proved that the GBA wasn't a SNES - amazing stuff...

This even puts most of the Nintendo DS racers to shame! lol
It really could pass for an early PS1 game.

Steve,
I advise you to get a gameboy player, because you can play it on the tv then, when not everyone is sleeping.

It reminds me one of my favorite rally game ever, Sega Rally !

I have Sega Rally for the Saturn in my collection. That'll be getting a video here sooner or later.

Now that's what I call portability.

I carry mine in the inside jacket pocket. Its not that much bigger than the DS.

I guess if it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable, it's cool.
I only tend to take mine out when I'm on holiday, and have a bag to shove it in.

Have you been up all night uploading all these video's Steve?
Very impressive racer for a GBA, just noticed on the in-car view that the drivers hands have no arm's, so you can see floating racing gloves.
