  • Won't see billshit knife or stick disarms here :p

  • Imagine if he hit harder...

  • I like POI DOG way of fighting!

  • @shoshinroma That's my cousin, it's kinda exciting lol

  • @aphatpanda13 You are lucky...stydy with him.....I'm too far to have POI DOG as a teacher!!!

  • @shoshinroma lol i'm too far away too. i unfortunately rarely get to see him, he's a really cool dude tho.

  • KALI RULES!

  • the vibrations don't travel at the speed of sound. that is the speed of a wave in the medium of air. hear the wave is traveling thru a different medium: wood. wood, like water, is denser than water - the speed of a shear wave thru it is much slower

  • lol my cousin is roan kalani grimm. that was pretty cool seeing him on tv!

  • Great video. I love the slow motion impact shots.

I thought I noticed a sword from Traditional Filipino Weapons web site on that table of rattan weapons. Is it a TFW ginunting? I am an avid collector of the TFW weapons. Good to see you guys promoting escrima.

  • there is something strange about the event which occurs at 2:59 o_O

  • @bebrasha

In Dog Brothers we call that "pull the chain." =)

  • One of the best videos on this topic!!!!

  • This way of "playing" and training is good for stick fights, but if they try that way with blades, both fighters end up dead.

  • i would think the length of the stick is being used because the dynamics of the impact shows the movement of the energy clearer, and thats some power

  • great video!!!!!

  • Speed notwithstanding, the moves are pretty spot on. Except I read the strike should be focused closer to the end of the stick, like it were a real blade. But I guess they need to use real blades to demonstrate that kind of destruction.

  • let time warp try to bring an actual kali master from the philippines

  • @bowow0807 Many champions and winners come from other countries and they have their wins in the phillipines. Research and see. Same goes for Muay Thai and other arts. Just be thankful that the art is preserved and loved all over the world.

  • Looks painful

  • they're all fat!....

  • @amazingperson731 and they're quite athletic and could kick your arse, right?

  • nice

  • Terrible aim! You guys should use the tip, not the body length of the stick.

  • Awesome video guys! Interesting stuff. The strikes look really traumatic for the body.

  • good show guys

  • Great !!

  • ...supposedly an art, culture.when i was young in leyte island about 9 yr old i saw a family settling thier feud on stick fighting.i never really knew what kind of art it is until my grandpa introduce it to me when i was about 10.

  • magaling....yan ang pilipino skill.

  • dude tht guy in the yellow shirt is my cousin lol.. damn kalani. haha he just showed me the scar earlier today haha .

    dudes a beast

  • stupid

  • actually, these guys don't know what they're doing. Time Warp guys, do your homework.

  • you should go full contact stick fight with them!! since you know so much!!!

  • The dates for the Gathering of the Pack are always on the DBMA website. That would be a wonderful opportunity for you to show them what they're doing wrong.

  • @TondoKali Why don't they know what they are doing? They train and practice and they study from many sources, then test what they learn. What's "wrong" with that? Is it effective? Prolly for sticks it is. I would never train this way for blades tho.

  • dude, that guy in the red shirt, erik bryant, is my stick fighting teacher for my school

  • Erik is a beast.

  • lucky

  • kaka!!!!!!

  • if you want to know what it feels like why dont you just spar. like the work they could have picked different people to do it.

  • Cool!
