I passed this movie up when it showed in the theatre, but I saw it on cable in the late '80s. The opening title sequence immediately intrigued me, and my favorite part was probably the tape-recorded farewell: "For the first time in my life, I can walk without crutches. I love you, man."
This film is EXCELLENT. This guy here is a knob. Dekker was the first to do the Surname thing so why mention it in the same breath as the shit turd Scream. And its MONSTER SQUAD not CLUB. Dumb shit. Slow down and get off your horse .
Night of the Creeps is the best Tribute to the 1950s sci-fi/horror films ever made and it also adds some 70s zombie elements and 80s slasher elements to the mix, so in short what it is, is basically a movie made for hardcore horror and sci-fi fans and for that it's great, and even mainstream filmgoing audiences might get a kick out of it.
This film is a forgotten classic, very funny, full of goofy ideas (mostly ripped from other movies) and a real riot. Even Dick Miller pops up. If Tarrantino had made a zombie movie in the 80's this would have been it. Thrill Me!!!
Your reviews are extremely enjoyable and I heartily agree with the stupid ass self-referential "comedy" that is prevalent in so many horror flicks with the characters being named Carpenter, Romero, etc. But yeah, this was '86 so they should be cut some slack.
IT'S MONSTER SQUAD! NOT MONSTER CLUB DOUCHEBAG!

In the wild there are insects that can take over another insects body by controlling the brain. Not to far of a leap

I love how Slither so ripped this off !!!

Night of the creeps superior, slither inferior. As soundwave would put it! -_^
GODCONVOYPRIME 4 years ago
Well, Slither is more or less a tribute film to great works like this, The Living Dead series, all those good remakes of 60's movies in the late 80's

James Gunn is a lying son of a bitch, who made a shitty piece of crap by ripping of a classic...
And the Dawn of the Dead Remake sucked too !
