I believe the "Louie Louie" remark is a joke due to the fact that so many bands were covering the song at the time, but I'm not too sure if this is entirely accurate or not.

@WarsawRevision it's not 'louis louis', it's 'lou reed' (distorted by the echo). makes more sense doens't it: 'shown you our version of lou reed'

@Bunnypunker hmm... so I watched that clip but I am unconvinced for two reasons. 1. note that there a heavy echo in the mic - you can near that after curtis says 'goodnight'. 2. the reference made here is to something they just did: 'shown you our version of...' now clearly that is not louis louis. so its gotta be lou reed.
