  • 2:01 that's what she said.

  • You made my Rock Band Drum Beatle work better!!! thanks for all this greats MODs!! Cheers from Argentina!

  • Can this be used on a madcatz cymbal?

  • I'm not sure, honestly. I've never attempted it.

  • when he talks about the compressor being tight (1:11) have your game on and enter the training session. tighten the compressor as needed by hitting the pad and seeing how it reacts. the tighter the more sensitive i noticed. but adjust the screws to your liking. this will work sure with lost notes. I did it yesterday! I had a bad green, its so much better now, now im not scared to play going gone, lol.

  • now what does the mod suppose to do

  • The idea is that the penny creates an additional vibrating metal contact. Piezo transducers are round metal sensors that transform physical distress into electrical impulse, so when they vibrate or are struck they send a signal to the controller PCB. The penny, in theory, helps this out by adding more mass, vibration and contact.

  • Thank God i have ions :D

  • my fucking good woods dont fucking work on my set

  • That sucks a big one. I'm really sorry to hear that. Will they offer you a refund?

I'm convinced that if there is a Hell, it is indeed being forced to deal with crappy Rock Band drums for eternity.

  • I like them tight also :)

  • hey dude do you know if the goodwood mod works for the EL sets?

  • I haven't used them myself, but from what I've heard on the grapevine they're quite bad-ass. Pricey, but worth every penny if you've dealt with the kind of frustration I have.

  • yeah im saving up for them, im tired of breaking kits and i want one great one, and i ehard goodwoods are the best and i wondered since i got an EL instead of a QM this time

  • so with a QM do you think penny mod will help hit though's fast notes? also if the player is having trouble keeping up with the fast notes, such as notes from xpert run to the hills, do you think the player needs lighter drum sticks?

  • i think the QMs should stick with the sock mod, i had one and its great dude, but now i got an EL :(

  • ''[...] I like it very tight personally.'' So do I bro, so do I. LOL.

  • i put my penny outside of the transducer [or how ever its spelled lol] and it works great, i can actually FC songs now :P

  • Awesome, man. Glad it worked out for you. Here's hoping that the RB2 sets are much better.

The window for "no questions asked" RMAs expires October 1st, and so I just ordered one last replacement (set #10 has been sitting in the corner collecting dust with two cracked drumheads).

I haven't been keeping up with the video blog because we just bought a new house and have been renovating it. Lots of work means I don't have time to play or make videos, ha ha.

  • Favorited. Great video. It helped me out a lot with my faulty set. :)

  • oh ya, my drum pads on the inside are a bit different than most peoples drum pads. It's still the same concept, but it looks different. I'll send you some pictures later.

  • Sounds good. I'll try my best to help out.

  • I'm uploading a video of my drum pads right now.

  • I tried the penny mod on the blue pad ans was succesful, but then i tried it on the red drum pad and now i cant put the pad back on the drums. Could you help?

  • nickle mod is the best i've seen, search for it on the tube.

  • try putting the penny on top of the sensor so once u hit it, it can be sensed

  • Do you have your drums hooked up to your computer, if so how did you do that?

cool video thanks for the heads up
