Hey, I'm doing this as part of my project. The problem is that when I run OpenBTS, I get two alarms (Rxgain & MaxDelay). Secondly, the OpenBTS CLI does not show anything after I run ./OpenBTS. However, I'm able to search the network using my cellphone. Can you pl help?
Im doing my professional practice in a enterprise that bring services to the cell companies, here i got TRX, can i do something to implement de openBTS with something else than URSP???
Interesting.. ¿ support Voice ? because in the videos posted in youtube only I've seen working with SMS & Dialing, but not already with a conversation. Congratulations and thanks for your video post.. :)

@deotatitlan. At the backend it has a VoIP Server (Asterisk). So yes, voice works. No point having a cellphone service without voice hie hie :)

does someone know where i can buy an "Universal Software Radio Peripheral" for not too much money ?

@n0tiz You can buy it from Ettus Research, but what is not too much money? 100$, 1000$, 10000$?

$100-$300 ...

Well, new USRP costs more than that and you also need an RF daugterboard. But it is still good value for money IMHO.

Is this pure GSM, or does it use SIP?

OpenBTS is an open source implementation of the GSM air interface. On the backside its an Asterisk server (VoIP).

Nice, does it work with FreeSWITCH?
diegoedv 2 years ago
nope. Asterisk only.

That's a shame.

Thanks for the extra videos. How much did the USRP unit cost?
And what sort of price was the whole system ( minus phones and PC)
Any chance having more of a video look at the hardware?
