Why can't shows just have one dub? Well...good question, actually. The story behind DBZ in English is a very long, confusing, and disastrous one. There are just so, so, so many instances of everything from bureaucratic troubles, cancellation due to low ratings, licensing issues, financial crises, actors walking out, actors quitting, TV network demands...so many things went wrong. I can point you to a website that tells the whole story if you're interested.
