I love you for posting this vid :) It's such a beautiful, romantic, classy song. Many people interpret that no, Spike loves Julia, and not Faye at all - he cares for her just as a friend. I agree to this to some extent. However, I believe there was a strong attraction between them. It could have developed into something more had he not gone and *spoiler* killed himself.

he is strongly attracted to her. he knows he would've loved her in another life, another time. but in this, spike's irrevocably committed to his course - defeating the red dragons, confronting vicious, redeeming himself and julia.
too much blood, too many tears shed for it to be any other way, but he sees faye as the sweet, innocent girl in the video underneath the tough exterior. and he can at least save her by not letting her get involved. i think it shows how he really feels about her.
i honestly believe that Faye didn't know how she felt about Spike. she cared for him, that's clear, but i don't think you can call it love. Spike loved Julia and Faye knew that. after meeting Julia, Faye understood how Spike felt about her, that's why she passed on Julia's message.
I think she realised towards the end that she loved him. For example in the Pieru le fou (fat assasin) episode she became really concerned and went after him. Then everything after that...

No I can't agree with you. He loved both Faye and Jet but he was only in love with Julia. After what he went through with her, he didn't really want to get involved with anyone else. Faye may have fallen in love with Spike but it wasn't mutual. It was very obvious he cared for her, but Julia was his one and only.

Everyone avoids their issues until the end of the series where they all finally confront them, but we will ever really know if they will fully come to terms with them and rejoin society. For me thats the beauty of it. It is what it is and is left for us to interpret.
I have since found out who sings this song. It is a woman that lives on the east coast of the US and is a low key professional singer. Her name is Emily Bindiger. A lot of the music on the sound track is not sung by Japanese artists as many musicians were brought in from the US to assist in writing the music and lyrics for more authenticity. They wanted to avoid that ingrish feel on the English songs.
Faye may have had a crush on Spike but I think those feelings are transient. What she wanted most, Spike could never give her. This, of course, is pure speculation on my part. I'm not totally set in my ideas about Faye.
Frankly, Spike has never shown the slightest interest in Faye. Even if he were able to get over his past and fallen in love again, I don't in a million years think that it would be with Faye. There will be people who disagree strongly with me there but I hold to my opinion. ;)

Julia IS REAL like all the characters back stories, but this series isn't about reconnecting with the past. It is about learning to move on when you lose the things that mean most to you. Each character has the power to free themselves if they can learn to let go, but they all refuse to let go.
Every character could somehow get over his or her past.
Best example: Jet
The only character who is not able to move on is Spike and that is what costs him his life.
Even Faye admits, that living in the past nothig brings you but sadness and pain, so that's why she wants to start her new life with her most likely friends in the Bebop. ( I've always hoped, that the crew really ARE friends and not just connected by pure coinsidence)

Spike tried to tie Faye in at the casino (se la intentó ligar en el casino). Maybe he hasnt shown a lot of interest in Faye but contrarily Faye has (shown interest in Spike)

Her English isn't perfect in the songs, though. There's a sharp accent...not that it's bad, it's not. It's great. But it's far from perfect.
