The Bosniaks in Turkey are mostly ignorant about Bosnian folk traditions.
Most of those dances and moves are either from Macedonia, Albania, Serbia or Thrace.
Half of Turkey is from the Balkans, and Macedonia had the hugest influence on Turkey's folk culture. The recent emigrants from Serbia and Montenegro are familiar with Serbian dances and music, and thus that's what they're into. But the earlier generations know none of that.
Turkish cultural is an imperial culture. It's not just Turkic.

Sorry to ruin your World, but the area from the "nation" illyricum was from croatia down to north albania. To that times slaves lived in russia. The slavic people immigrated to the balkans. They exist so called "haplo-groups" where you can get to know the ancient folk your genes are from. The most albanians have no illyric genes even if they say that (but maybe the language).

The Croats have the most illyric genes, after them the Bosniaks (Bosnia) , then the serbs and last but not least the albanians. There isn't such a gene-analysis for the Bosniaks from Sandzak, but i think they didn't mixed as much as the Bosnia-Bosniaks did. So there are gene-analysis, so you don't need to tell me propaganda that we are turks or serbs.. :) If somebody likes to mix, he/she can do it..everybody is free.

Don't mean to offend anyone, but THIS IS NOT indigenous Bosnian folk culture.....(from Bosnia PROPER).
This stuff came to us via our Serb, Vlach and Romanian neighbours.
We learned to dance this, like we learned rock'n'roll, tango and the waltz.

No, it isn't Turkish. I'm very familiar with Turkish music. This is strictly Albania, Serbia and Romania. Now, which comes first I don't know.
But the Gypsies had their hands in the stew, just like they had in a lot of Turkish music.
When I was growing up in Bosnia, you never heard this kind of music. Now it's played at almost every wedding.
