  • If this is "offensive" then the USSR national anthem needs to be flagged too, oh and can't forget the Germanys 'Nazi' anthem, better yet fuck lets flag the USA anthem because I find that offensive too because it raises pride in my soul as this song does. Fucking liberal trash I swear.

  • Offensive??? The stench of political correctness on Youtube is unbelieveable !!!!!!

  • how is this offensive

  • This is offensive? We live in dangerous times indeed....

  • @StaunchOntarian So true. My pre-teen daughters can watch the filthy slut Lady Gag Gag without any warning. WTF??

  • as a brit i am a little confused...why is this offensive...and who decided its offensive !!

  • its a great song for a great Land and brave brave Men who fought for there Country,

    General Lee and Stonewall Jackson......Giants!

  • RonPaulHatesBlacks is a race bating troll. When you see him ignore him.

  • How the heck is this offensive? I getr so mad at people for thinking that everything is about racial hate!!! I HATE dumb people! If the dixie flag offends you then you need a history lesson!!!! Its HERITAGE NOT HATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @18apostolicalcoholic If the Dixie flag offends you then you've obviously read the South's own Cornerstone Speech and Mississippi, Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina declarations of secession. It's heritage OF hate!!!!!!!!!!

  • @assmonkey341 Honestly? Even Hell doesn't deserve you.

  • @Gakeon143 I've a feeling Mr. assmonkey will be going the same way as TheFuriousHick and TThorne931.

  • @Gakeon143

It's a black man in disguise.

  • Great version of this song. I love listening to it.

  • i think i know who tagged it as offensive a stupid coward who is pro Union, but me here's what i say THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGINE

  • @AllenBamma i forgot 1 thing any yanks who read this FACT: before civil war 13th amendment was soppose to say that we could have slaves.

  • this song is an insperation to all men that fought for what they believed and died for it (including kids as young as 13-14)

  • I don't understand...how did this rate a warning? America supports the right of people to be free in other lands but created war and great hardship on their own . Britian was wrong to try to keep you and the yanks were wrong to subjugate the south too... same deal....and NOBODY went to help the blacks it is always the almighty $

  • Some black people just added it as offensive. End of story

  • and why is this video inappropriate? I don't get it....

  • What northern slave traders are you talking about im pretty sure the usa outlawed the importation of slaves well before the civil war

  • What?

"The following content has been identified by the YouTube community as being potentially offensive or inappropriate. Viewer discretion is advised."

Who ever just flagged this video must have serious problems...

  • A great re-enactment video, but remember those southerners were fighting to maintain horrible institution of slavery. Make sure you watch the "John Brown's Body" video by Gloria Jane, or listen to Pete Seeger's rendition of John Brown's Body.

As for the Dixie, good residence. I'm glad the traitors to our nation were defeated. What death and misery they caused! Remember "On Nation, Indivisible."

  • Do you really think Lincoln cared about slavery? Read his speeches. He was a war criminal who waged an aggressive war against the states who had a perfect right to leave the union if they so wished.

  • @dutchopening Do you really think the Allies in WWII cared about anti-Semitism? If not, so what? Does that justify Hitler and the Holocaust? Or is it completely irrelevant because the Allies didn't start the war, and were a hell of a lot better than the alternative?

Unilateral secession is, was, and always has been unconstitutional, as Robert E. Lee explained in 1860 and multiple courts have confirmed in decisions you've never even read. You're not qualified to lecture about Constitutional law.

  • After the war in a letter to the governor of Texas Lee noted that if he had known what reconstruction would be like he never would have surrendered. Lee did not accept defeat. He regretted surrender.

  • The south will rise again,I was born in and I will die fighting for, dixieland.

  • @Ace61596 Fuck yeah!!! How many American soldiers do you plan to murder? Do you plan to torture them first? Which military base will you attack first? When will you launch your attack on the base?

  • i like to imagine that general robert e lee is just returning to his men after having general grant sign a surrender.the north has surrendered and the south is free, this is their victory celebrations.God bless the confederacy, lots of love and respect from australia

  • @Scorch247ftw Just goes to show you that people are still weird about the civil war in some places....

  • The video has a warning? How could anyone be offended by this? There's nothing offensive about it.

  • @Scorch247ftw I know, I sent it to my friend in Alabama (I'm British) and we both laughed at that. It's a song, a fucking catchy one too. Gay thing is, youtube downloader is having trouble with it, and this vid has the best sound quality of this song.

  • @Scorch247ftw im gona shove that warning up youtubes ass.it pisses me off this song aint racist at all

  • @minecraft2400 People would much rather plug their ears and believe in a fairy tale version of history than the real one. Everything has to be in black and white, people don't like shades of grey. So they call the Confederacy ( and everything associated with it) an evil racist country, and they're happy to believe that.

  • IKR! theres nothing bad bout' this :/

  • @Scorch247ftw no there isnt anything offensive here proud history thats all keep voting it up people

  • @mick4116 Im a very proud scotsman and i can tell you that the people of the south are to be admired for their courage and bravery during the civil war. They fought for what they believed to be right and whether people agree or not race may have been an issue but it was not the only issue.God bless the south.

  • @Scorch247ftw Yankee sons-of-bitches could be offended by it.

  • They got a freaking WARNING before you can watch the video labeling this as inapropiate or controversial!!. Sounds a very good starting reason to consider following this classic American songs's message to me.

  • @Wolfen443 Im not with south or anything but i just like song. Ya your right its kinda stupid of what they putted.

  • @POTCMarc101, I was obviously joking about my comment too. I could not expect too many or trust anyone to do now what they did back then.

  • @Wolfen443 I agree 100 percent. And I'm sick and tired of some wuss being 'offended' anytime anybody says anything.

  • why does it warn me that the contents of this video might be shocking or inappropriate?

  • @dutchsouthernrockfan

Because it might be offensive to some or at least most Americans?

  • @dutchsouthernrockfan Must be due to some people finding the Confederate flag(s) offensive, given that the MPAA rated Gettysburg PG.

  • @dutchsouthernrockfan

another dutch southern lover like me, do you play ac2 on ps3 ? :P

  • @MrGerardnl yes its my favourite game its the first game i bought for my ps3

  • @dutchsouthernrockfan

i just started playing ac revelations , add me on ps3: gerardnl0 !

  • @MrGerardnl i will my name is zapdosmoltres

  • Comment removed

  • @cementhauler99 thanks now i know why!

  • Today as yesterday being attacked by government freedoms and liberty taken away. Stand up and be counted.

  • this aint wrap or thecno its what it should stay as thumbes up if u agree

  • Can't we all just enjoy an amazing song? =P

  • Proudly born and raised in the South!

  • Well, at least you stop pretending that you were merely "asking questions." You have decided that you're the expert on American history and Constitutional law, even though you're a 16-year-old Canadian who has never studied either subject in his entire life. You're an arrogant, ignorant little lecturer. Your "different point of view" is that black people deserve more years of slavery and segregation. You should make your REAL argument in favor of slavery and segregation, you Bieber-wannabe.

  • Any rational adult who wondered if unilateral secession is Constitutional would do the research BEFORE forming an opinion about it. They would go to law school and learn Constitutional law, or at the very least do a 5-second Google search and read any court opinions. But not this uneducated hatemonger!!! This stupid asshole decided secession must be Constitutional without doing any research of any kind, and won't let the facts get in his way now!!! He's like Bush with Iraqi WMDs!!!

  • Did anyone noticed that in 1:53 - 1:54 there was a mexican or a lattino i tought only whites and blacks fought for south?Help me out here

  • strange people

  • @ricklowerboy84. Lee was not really a great general??? Really??? Do not forget the geography of the war. The capital was Richmond, not the Mississippi river. If Richmond was lost the river was a mute point. He won many victories while outnumbered at a time when all battles were wars of attrition. Even Roosevelt said Lee was our greatest commander. I think you need to do some more research before belittling Lees accomplishments!

  • Yes, RonPaul, please educate us on where in the constitution it says a state cannot leave the union. Start with the book, A Constitutional History of Seccesion, written by a constitutional lawyer from Minnesota.

  • respect to Robert E. Lee and the american south from Denmark :)

  • I think a few idiots are trying to curse the listeners of this song for political means.

  • Unfortunatley, the victor always writes history. The South will never get a fair shake, there was no Marshall Plan to help her and it doesn't matter that they fought for the principles and values of our founding fathers. Even though ANY state could have left the union according to our Constitution and Bill of Rights- along with the writings of the founding fathers, military might changed the form of government that they had established into the corrupt government we have today.

  • @RobertCeltic Actually, the Constitution flatly bans unilateraly secession, as Robert E. Lee explained and most everyone understood in 1861, and the United States and Alaska Supreme Courts have confirmed in decisions you've never even read. You really shouldn't lecture people about Constitutional law when you've never even stepped foot inside a law school, much less graduated from one. It's embarassing.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Where in the Constitution does it say the States don't have the right to secede?

  • @Scorch247ftw Texas v. White, 74 U.S. 700 (1869). Kohlhaas v. State of Alaska, 147 P.3d 714 (2006). The truth is a motherfucker, huh?

See, kiddies, this is why adults don't lecture people about Constitutional law when they've never even stepped foot inside a law and haven't done any research at all!!! We have a name for arrogant assholes who do shit like that---they're called DOUCHEBAGS!!!

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Woah, calm down buddy! I ask you where it says that and you go off the handle, sounds like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I honestly didn't know, and was honestly asking. Last time I'll make the mistake of trying to learn from the likes of you.

Since when is asking a question lecturing? You could've been civil and just told me without assuming that I was trying to undermine your point.........

  • @FastPonyGT I kind of got the crazy part from his response. I'll keep that in mind, thanks for the heads up.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Too be fair, both of those cases are after the Civil War. I read that article of the constitution, and believe I'm no expert in law, but it didn't flatly state that States can't decide. That's just the way the court ruled in those two cases, and while that sets a precedent, that doesn't make it the law for the future ( or the past ).

  • Of course they were after the war. Courts ALWAYS decide after the fact. They're not mind-readers. They can't convict people of murder before the fact.

Are you really this stupid? Are you really going to keep lecturing people about Constitutional law without ever stepping foot inside a law school? Spare us the horseshit that you were "trying to learn." You decided secession is constitutional without doing any research at all, and not even the Supreme Court can open your closed mind. Sad.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks "Actually, the Constitution flatly bans unilateraly secession, as Robert E. Lee explained and most everyone understood in 1861". So I do have a point, that's your quote. My point is, that at the time of Civil War, that hadn't been ruled on. I haven't yet said I think secession is constitutional, I'm saying it could be seen that way.

How is murder and secession related? Don't tell me that people didn't see secession coming. Secession had been discussed almost immediately...

  • @Scorch247ftw After the Union was formed, and again during the War of 1812. My only point is that with no rulings at the time on the constitutionality of secession you can't say that the South seceding was illegal, passed on rulings made after the fact. Just because it's illegal now, it doesn't mean it was illegal then.

I'm not a Southerner, and I'm not making a case for modern secession, I'm just looking at US history at a different angle. The Union isn't the high and mighty crusade for...

  • @Scorch247ftw Holy shit, did you even graduate high school? Unilateral secession is, was, and always has been unconstitutional. No one amended the Constitution after the Civil War, moron. They didn't have to---unilateral secession was unconstutitional upon ratification. If you kill someone, you'll be convicted of murder based on a ruling "made after the fact." That's how courts work.

Seriously, are you really this stupid? Are you developmentally disabled or something?

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Are you? The constitution does not say flatly "no secession" that's just the way those courts ruled in that scenario. Murder and secession are hardly the same thing. I've never heard of a court case of somebody asking the Supreme Court to interpret the constitution in a way that makes murder legal.

And please, if you can't discuss something with out cussing like a child then we aren't having this discussion. Be mature for a moment and show some respect.

  • @Scorch247ftw Of course the Constitution flatly prohibits unilateral secession. That's what Robert E. Lee explained and most everyone understood in 1860 and what the United States and Alaska Supreme Courts have confirmed. Indeed, every court to ever consider the question has confirmed that the Constitution flatly bars unilateral secession.

I think I can guess why you ducked the question of whether you even graduated high school. You're an embarassment, boy.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Okay now, calm down. To answer your question, I'm sixteen and I'm not a genius so I haven't graduated two years early.

I'm not forming any opinions, I'm asking questions so I can understand the legality of secession better. I don't know why you can't answer these questions without freaking out. I'm being critical of your POV so I DON'T just jump to one conclusion.

And I'm not a hatemonger, I'm Canadian and am proud of my country's part in the underground railway.

  • @Scorch247ftw And there it is. A little Canadian child arrogantly lecturing about American history and law. What a debacle. There's nothing Canadians hate more than ugly Americans lecturing them about their history and politics. So why would anyone think that shit is okay in reverse?

    You're done here, Bieber.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Thanks for showing how mature you are. Can't even have a discussion with anyone without insulting, assuming, and just being arrogant in General. I didn't lecture. I offered a different point of view, and apparently that makes you get angry.

You're right about one thing. I am done here. There's no way I'm continuing a conversation with somebody as childish as you. Feel free to keep replying and spewing verbal diarhea. I won't answer.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks for Blacks rights that they claim to have been. I've been trying to learn about the legality of secession (back then), the purposes for going to war, the reasons the South secceded, and the man Lincoln really was. I grew up learning that Lincoln was an incredible man, that the Confederacy was evil, and the North was perfect in it's intentions and purpose. That's far from the truth.

  • America is not hated by all SCV's, its the only thing we have to fight for anymore. But the way that the confederacy is portrayed by the American government, is something we hate. In schools we are taught that the Confederacy was bad and racist, and any time racism is brought up its portrayed as a white southerner. For things like this they hate America. But on top of all the most hated is when people not from the south try and change the south. Its what brought us to war, and still happens.

  • Um, yeah. Neo-confederates hate America and spray the N-word all over Youtube. No surprise there.

  • Keepin' a close eye on the nigger infestation and readying for their final victory over the race traitors since 1861.

  • General Lee was born in Clydebank scotland god bless the south

  • Martin Sheen portrays a visionary here, a prophet. What a wonderful clip, also thanks to the quality of the extras. I mean men like 2:17, 2:31 and 2:34. Such diverse types and so much enthusiasm.

  • @doversniper ok? your obviously a fucking retard you slaughtered all the indians what about all the women and children you killed to claim alabama georgia and the rest of the south. your probably one of those retards who hang people of different color then go to church the next day. how about you learn some history cunt.

  • Raise the Flag of the South and get yer Confederate money boys, the South is Gonna Rise Again

  • @Ghosthunter3809 lol do you have any idea how fast the united states whould shut your little uprising down? it will never happen

  • @00TIDIS00 The neo-cons will never rise again. They'll never do anything more than whine like little bitches on the Internet. They're cowards.

  • You guys disgrace the memory of Lee, talking about modern politics. He was a great man fighting in name of his home state. He accepted his defeat150 years ago and yet you cannot do it now.......take your bickering elsewhere

  • @xXAndy2482xX

Actually Lee wasn't that great a general, since he was too focused on his own Army of Northern Virginia, and was unwilling to reinforce Joseph Johnston in the west. As a result, the Mississippi River fell far too easily. Once the river was gone, there was no way for the Confederates to win.

  • @RickLowerboy84 If Davis hadn't replaced Johnston in the West then Atlanta likely wouldn't have fallen ( not as easily at least) and the Johnston wouldn't have marched his troops into Tennesse like his replacement did. That left Sherman with a wide open door into the rest of the Confederacy, not to mention the burning of Atlanta got Lincoln re-elected. With Grants embarassing defeats fighting Lee left Yanks doubting the war...........

  • @RickLowerboy84 Atlanta was a success that brought up morale with the voters. General Lee was very focused on his own army, but he needed every soldier he had to hold off the Union troops, he couldn't even replace casualties by 64' let alone transfer troops. If Lee had've had a victory at Antietam ( which was completely botched by a copy of plans falling into Union hands ) or Gettsyburg ( which although the third day was a complete disaster, the second day could've seen a Confederate victory...

  • @RickLowerboy84 ....... if Longstreet hadn't delayed an attack ordered by Lee to be undertaken at first light. He ended up attacking at 4pm.) the North could've lost the will to fight. That was Lee's plan, and he came damn close to accomplishing it, despite being outnumbered by an enemy with better infrastructure, manufacturing power, and weapons. Robert E. Lee is one of the best Generals America has ever seen.

  • @xXAndy2482xX Amen brother, Old Dominion or Die.

  • @silver1b yea man, we are so opressed right now. And your saying the confederacy wouldn't be more pro government? if the south would have won their independence, the government would be controled by the bible which is basically a monarchy to me which is excatly what we fought against to get away from britain. you sir are a traitor. You fly the rebel flag. you are an enemy to this nation.

  • should all be hanged for treason. long live the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

  • @00TIDIS00 sic semper tyrannis, Lincoln etiam

  • I play this video to signal to the entire apartment that I came

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Huh? I'm not sure you understand Harry Potter is a fictional character from another continent.

  • this is the true general to you mister lee

  • Respond to this video... Thirdly...I don’t know where you got the “trolling Harry Potter videos” comment (on another video) from. Fourthly...judging by the last part of your statement, I imagine you believe you know a lot about me. So, based on your opinion of me, and ONLY your opinion of me, guess what my five favourite films is. Go on, guess. (contd.)

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks First of all, that PM you sent me was rude, abusive and uncalled for. Confederate suppression? All I did was suggest that you steer clear of this song if you hate it so much. Regarding what you said in the PM, you didn’t mention England, that is correct. However, your remark “WE the people stomped YOUR asses” was most likely aimed at me. Therefore, I took it to be you assuming that I was from a former Confederate state. I was merely correcting you. (contd.)

  • the dixielanders have the right to be separate a nation!

  • It never changes , economics ruled then as today. The North did not like slavery because it gave the south a really really cheap labour force ( just like China has) and the south being more agricultural sociaty considered it essential to their own economy. Bottem line......a war pitting pre Wall Street capitalist against themselves using the ordinary americans as cannon fodder.

  • Poor Dixie gets such a bad rap from asshole revisionists

  • I see a lot of people have been the northern version of the civil war. In there version they place themselves on a moral high horse saying "free the black man" when in fact if a black man came to their house and asked for a dime they would turn them away and still call them a nigger. The south wasn't the only racists folks! At least they were open about it. Either way slavery was only a small cause of the civil war it was about Economics and States Rights. North wanted tariffs on imports.

  • @Somespatanwarrior Sorry, thats false. Southern hypocrisy is astounding. In your view, calling the North racist distracts from the fact of the bigger racism which occured in the South. By pointing the North's faults, you try to put ypurself on moral high ground using faulty arguments. By the time of the rebellion, tariffs were lower than they had ever been since the turn of the century. Tariffs were a non-issue.

  • @Postan1 then why did ulysses grant's family own slaves an didn't free them until the 13th amendment was passed?? and just FYI Robert E Lee freed his slaves before the civil war, the north was racist, and originally didn't want to enlist black soldiers until lincoln passed the law where they would be eligible but even after where not treated as equals, and i know stupid people find this hard to believe but there were black confederate soldiers as well and cherokee, choctaw indian,an latinos

  • @89andyman Did you not read my post? By pointing out the North's faults, you try to cover up the horrible inhumanities performed in the South. And I know historically ignorant people find this hard to believe, but the actions of a few do not define that of the many. Blacks were forced to serve the Army, Native Americans had to be offered to assist, and Latinos were promised compensations for their services. It was not until the last year of the war that a Black Confederate unit was formed.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Its amazing how much Nazi sympathizers and Southern Revisionists have in common

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks fuck off trolling douchebag. You should get banned

  • @14534 I once suggested that if he didn't like this song, he shouldn't listen to it. He sent back an abusive PM that exposed his...rather questionable knowledge of geography. Namely, he thought England was part of the CSA.

  • Comment removed

  • @CelticShamrock2434 so do you love your country (USA) or the confederacy? thats like flying any other countries flag that our brave soldiers gave thier lives to fight against. you sir are a rebel therefor rebelion against the UNITED STATES. it is treason. fly the soviet flag to why dont you.

  • @00TIDIS00 Comparing Confederacy to Soviet? You live in a dream world, go away.

  • @00TIDIS00 my grat grand dad my uncle family fight for the south i support the right to fly the confederate flag a woman in sc did

  • haha winner takes it all

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks : Thanks for the Jewish propaganda history lesson, putz. No go get yourself murdered for $20 by one of your pet negroes.

  • bout time to do it again....

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks as many as need be...

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks Kinda ironic what you said considering Sherman, and that there was slavery in the North as well.

  • @wolfsadfree yeah, they seem to forget that and a lot of other things...

  • @savagenomore the hypocrisy of the North is astounding. We that have been taught by the Public Education System have been led astray with thoughts that the South was evil, by the grace of God we have found our way back. Nevertheless the South was not evil, the North, the Union, the U.S., is and was evil.

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks what ever it takes BOY!!!

  • @RonPaulHatesBlacks : I'll do it with IEDs and EFPs. Seems to work well for the rag-heads. You need to go research how many gun owners there are in the south compared with the number of active military before threatening people like the piece of yankee scum you are.

  • What movie is this from?

  • This brings a tear to my eye and joy to my heart. True American Spirit Deo Vindice.

  • Bill Clinton on 2:16

  • @NEWPARAMETER Yes indeed, Sir!

  • @akiddipper I'm with u

  • i say its time for another civil war im 15 and ready to serve the convederacy

  • Comment removed

  • The US gov us Fucked up long before the civil war the united states of America made it there mission to exterminate the native population. Native Americans didn't have the right to vote till AFTER WWII. No one is perfect the both sides did some Fucked up shit that shouldn't of happen.

  • Comment removed

  • @trisgilmour General Longstreet was the true hero, and the South demonized him.

  • For Liberty!

  • lets just say that i will use my "friends" (ronpaullovesblacks2,3,4 and 5) to make sure that rphb will never be able to comment on y tube again, neither will unionstatesheritage, usheritage or any of their puppets.
