I had this procedure done in September of this year. I have seen little improvement to my voice, and the surgeon is also concerned therefore I am going back in to have the injection version done. I was asleep for this one and have been advised I will be asleep for the surgery in January,
yah i am a female in late twenties, i oso need to go for this opt coz i oso have a paralyzed fold. For 2 years , no changed in my voice , very breathy, husky. Same as the rest of the ppl , i do feel anxious and scared.. My opt is June2010.
Dear Dr I am due to have this surgery in Sept '09, My Dr said I will have to be awake during the surgery so he can determine the correct size of Implant. Is this correct. I had a brain tumor 20 months ago and had a lot of nerve damage, paralysed left vocal chord was one result. Will this surgery help with coughing fits I have and improve my breathing and of course my voice? Thanks I just want a second opinion as I am quite anxious.
dear Doctor, I lost my voice in a surgery and the doctor fixed my voice, but it remains breathy and he couldn't fix my pitch range at all (higher notes) although I had medialization layngoscopy after vocal folds' shortening as well. what treatment do you think is good for my condition?
My dad had this done recently and was awake all through the op. This vid is handy to see what he went through. You have to admire the skill of these guys!
Hi did this surgery help your dad? I am due to have it next month and am anxious about the staying awake part,as well as other things. Hopeyou can ask your dad for me. Thanks
