Can anyone talk about horrorpunk without mention The Misfits? Please, threat horrorpunk like an independent genre, also threat Balzac like an independent band, It looks like horrorpunk depends on the misfits... And there are a lot great bands of Horrorpunk... I have to say that is my favorite genre.

You know, I wish more people would treat horrorpunk as a real genre, instead of just "ya it's misfits knock offs". In my personal opinion, now don't get wrong, Misfits rocks! But like....To me it seems like the newer horror bands are really succeeding misfits. Danzig era included. It's a shame people can't realize that misfits is ONLY an influence to them.

Hello, I agree at your idea and the one of Evilucas above yes HorrorPunk is genre that should be treated like one but Misfits started it all they are a great band and the influence no matter how good are new HP bands (which I listen daily) and you all need to get over the "Jerry has ruined Misfits" "Danzig is better than Graves or vice versa" & "Every other horror punk band is a ripoff of Fits" be like this bands and love/support all those who stand for the HP. Stay Dead!

yeah, i get so sick of the danzig vs graves vs jerry bullshit. that and the misfits knockoff idea just hold back so many potential bands/fans. it really is an amazing genre of music that gets your blood pumping, emotions running, and gets you in a good mood instantly. and what's great too is that it doesn't take itself so seriously, it's just about having fun!
