  • Allied Barton treats it's employees like they're disposable. I hate this company, but can't find work anywhere else.

  • @burntham113 I hate this goddamn company too. Fortunately, there are many other security opportunities available. Not just this pathetic excuse of a company.

  • I am so sorry & sadden to hear what happened to Chris. I worked Chris for many years. I went to his Baptism earlier this year. He had a gentle soul and was always ready to step in and help anyone who needed it. I can’t even imagine why he had a gun or even where he would get a gun! I am sad for his family. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone who cared about Chris. May his loving memories bring you all strength, comfort and peace.

  • Interesting and sad. Makes you want more info about how threatening his gun pulling actually was. May have been just laying it out on the counter.

  • CYA BRO

  • I worked with him last year at VITA (volunteer Tax Assistant), he is very nice. He tries to help people. He is very gentle and friendly. I am very sad and shocked when I hear the bad news

  • Wow, this is tragic in many levels. May he rest in peace.

  • @OhNoPaypal fuck you. I wonder if your life has been even a small bit as fulfilling to others as his was.

  • @mratomix at least he doesn't point his gun at the cops like a fucking dumbass. i'm personally glad he got put down. we don't need another mass killing in our schools

  • @OhNoPaypal FYI...He did not work at a Mall as Security.

  • May he rest in glorious peace and my condolences to his family and God Bless them always !!!!

  • my condolences to the family

  • You know, I cant say that this video is really from Allied Barton or not, but I will say that the story about Chris is true. I have known him for many years, and his family is viewing this video. So have some respect for them right now. They have just lost a loved one.

  • Probably shouldn't have pulled a gun out of his bag in a University building, and he probably wouldn't have been shot...

  • @CShernicoff Wait until all the facts are in. People in the building, and the woman who rode with him up the elevator and called the cops, obviously were not hurt by him and he pointed a gun at no one, as far as you or anyone else outside of that room knows. You need to chill and wait until facts are in.

  • @mratomix I never once said he intended on hurting anyone...just stating the fact that if he did have a gun, whether or not he was threatening anyone's life, police officers have the liberty to decide on their own if it was a threatening act, thus him getting shot and eventually dying. You need to chill and shut your self-righteous mouth.

  • Wow. This is absolutely heartbreaking. :'( No matter what the circumstances are surrounding his death, this is an utter tragedy. My prayers go out to him and his loved ones.

  • My heart breaks to think he had come all this way already and probably just needed someone to understand him. My prayers go to him, his family, and those who loved him.

  • AlliedBarton better have a really good PR department after what happened.

  • I wonder what his intention was, bringing in a weapon into Haas. I've read some speculation that it was a deliberate engagement with the police and suicide. If this is indeed the same man, it's saddening to see after all the progress and success he had, that he was still so troubled. Again, all speculation and I'm curious when and if the truth behind his motivations will be revealed.

  • Responding to the question of whether or not this is the student killed by UCPD yesterday: Most likely - unless there are two Chris Travis' at Haas who transferred from Ohlone College and are older than a typical transfer student.

I anxiously await more details from UCPD. I'm curious why 24 hours after the shooting and subsequent death of a UCB student there is no information beyond name, age, and registration status.

  • This is sad if it is indeed the student killed by the UC Police Department at the Haas School of Business yesterday.
