  • love the synchopated rhythm. OOps, if I've spelled wrong.

  • I would eat the corn out of her

  • Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for Suzy Bogus and her spread of great tunes.

  • She is so gorgeous and so is her voice. She has such a pure clean sound. When I was in my twenties I had a huge crush on her and I still do. What a smile and those country outfits she would wear with her hair behind her ears. WOW

  • I miss this kind of country........great songwriting, great musical arrangements!

  • that one person that dislikes is an idiot who knows nothing about music or beautiful women.eroc 44.

  • this was Suzy's destiny in life to share her beautiful sound with everyone.

  • Lord I love this woman...so beautiful and such a great singing voice. I wish she were still on the charts and making videos.

  • We miss Suzy Bogguss. A beautiful woman with clear country voice. Sadly, I gotta agree with the critics. Although her sound was great for the early 90s, its too straight forward country for today's younger "Pop Country".

  • Excellent! Thanks Suzy!

  • Gee where'd Tom Russell go?

  • @dave11222 Go? He still records great albums each year.

  • wtf ever happened to her .....all the greats fizzle into memories..this is when country did what it was meant to do..its sad when it says its sad..suzy boguss and pam tillis and k.t.oslin were the true pioneers of country..miss you bisches!

  • Nancy Griffith is a great songwriter. But Nanci is nowhere near the singer that Suzy Bogguss or Emmtylou Harris are. That's why they had hit records with Nanci's songs and Nanci didn't. Nanci's voice is shrill and grating at times. Suzy and Emmylou's voices are like angelic choirs. So take off you Nanci Griffith blinders. Nanci is a great writer but not a great singer.

  • @Crottinger Can't you just accept that they are all great artists, they are all different and appeal to different people. Enjoy what they all have to offer and Get a life !

  • easy to see why chet atkins adored her!

  • Stop the jumpimg you dork.

  • Only Nanci Griffith can do this song justice.

  • well she just misses her phrasing at times. Pity about the false cowgirl accent at times (listen to her on the recording version)

  • Best southern voice I ever heard

  • Suzy Bogguss is an awesome singer and musician. Her vocals are clean and crisp whether she is live or recording. She is also a beautiful woman.

  • She is so special.

  • My Texas gal, what a great singer, what a great song. Go Suzy!

  • I would crawl from Calgary to meet . Since 1984 luv your music.

    GC says so

  • And isn't it refreshing to listen to an artist that can actually sing, AND play her guitar like she know how. Talent. Hard to find any more.

  • I miss suzy bogguss

  • what year is this? if anyone knows? its filmed at austin city limits? no?

  • now THIS is country music folks, not that processed, fake, plastic, airbrushed pop bullshit on the radio these days.

  • What a song.I love her....I LOVE HER!

  • She rocks!!

  • Has to be one of the most talented, and most beautiful, singers of all time. Her songs are as good, if not better, live, as in the studio. Plus you get to look at this gorgeous woman!

  • Saw her last summer in her home town Aledo Ill. she put on a free concert in the city park! She's awesome!!!!!

  • Love her version of this song. Her voice- with its clarity- reminds me of bells!

  • @OhSusannah63 she nails this. its an amazing version

  • hot!! very hot!! where is she now? anybody know?

  • The original version by the writer, Tom Russell, seems to have the best flow of the lyrics...a bit more of a punchy story that Suzy's homogenization. (and I admire Suzy's abilities)

  • This is a very tough song to sing vocally. It has tons of words to spit out . That Nancy's writing style. Suzy nails it, I think she is a doll.

  • yeah..and check out those eye's at 2:28!

  • @VASINGER wE NEED THEM TO PRODUCE MORE SONGS FOR THESE DAYS.

  • @VASINGER "It has lots of words to spit out." Wow, I thought most songs had words to spit out. What was I thinking?

  • @storm071970 Let me clarify so that perhaps you can understand. The way Outbound Plane is written the words are syncopated that is very unusual and almost behind or ahead of the beat than the standard format for songs. Each song has a pantameter. This song uses a much more syncopated and different type of pantameter. Perhaps if you were a songwriter you would understand. Thanks.

  • @VASINGER - Use all the terminology you want to explain "song writing" to me. Your original posting was jibberish at best.

  • Comment removed

  • @VASINGER - Fuck off, asshole. Is that stupid enough for you?

  • @storm071970 wow, well thats just rude.

  • @VASINGER yeah, this is a very tough song to sing and Suzy sings it with such ease! She is so talented!

  • I don't think Nancy G would be too upset with that version. Lovely effortless vocal delivery. Could have done with some better backing vocals in chorus though IMO.

  • She's not southern at all! Suzy was born and raised in Aledo, Illinois.

  • True, shes technically not from the South, but she has a look and sweetness quality that is.

  • Not Nanci, but not bad

  • This is great. I also love the background vocals on this one.

  • Very Very talented ..and very very Southern Beauty!

  • Loved this one as well. She was so underrated!

  • as pure as it gets...

  • Austin City Limits, 1991? ...It's kinda cool not a lot of people remember her, leave the good stuff to those who really appreciate it.

  • the sweet Suzy Bogguss, had some of the nicest legs in Nashville in the 90's. I agree with Chet Atkins, she not bad to look at!!!
